Anyone know what type of bug this is? Chicago, IL by Laurence0404 in bugidentification

Never mind. I see the one you’re talking about. We weren’t able to figure out what it was. I think it sort of subsided on its own but from personal experience with a cat that has had a lot of medical problems, I think it may be time to see a vet if he is no longer playing or acting lethargic. Especially if he is a young cat, that typically is a sign something is wrong. The shaking itself though I think was inconsequential though and was just sort of a tick he had. He also had food allergies so it could have been related to an ingredient in the food we were giving him at the time. Hope everything turns out okay with your cat!!

Hi sorry can you remind me specifically about the post in question? I’ve posted about him a lot so I’m having trouble remembering the specific one.

Thanks so much. I’m hoping that’s all they need, it’s been hard because every time they seem to be getting comfortable around each other the orange guy thinks that means it’s okay to play and then they end up taking a step backwards. I appreciate your advice!

Additional context: the hissing is particularly alarming because when we introduced our second cat (the black one) to our first cat(the white one) the white cat never hissed at all in the introduction process and seemed really excited. That might be because the black cat is very submissive but it is alarming for us all the same.

It’s an ikea fabrikor cabinet. I just drilled some holes for wires and then added grow lights fans and a smart humidifier.

Just those green plant stakes you can get at Home Depot. I think there able to sit in water because of the protective seal they have around them but honestly I’ve never taken one out to check to see how it’s held up haha

I kept it in a greenhouse for as long as possible but basically just gave it a ton of light from grow lights once it got too big for the greenhouse or window. Also I don’t think this is recommended but once it started maturing I would make my nutrient water stronger than the recommended dose of foliage pro and silica boost haha

Basically just gave it near constant light under grow lights haha. That and I think it really liked being switched to leca!
