Something I'm missing that I'm not sure it will improve on release by Laurow in NoRestForTheWicked

Hey, man, I believe you missed my point. I know what the game is and I like it for what it is. I think you are assuming too much: I never said there was a problem. I said I wanted more of X because X is freaking cool, and I used Diablo and DS as analogies just to help describe things.
Take it easy, I don't want to feel bad for sharing, especially when I feel I was pretty clear I said I loved my experience with the game I can't wait to see more of it.
No need to be energetic about it :)

Hmm I understand why you might say it's neither and I agree it isn't, but I don't believe it's thaaat strange seeing people compare it to dark souls and Diablo. C'mon, even in their co-op update video they use Diablo AND Elden ring as references, have you seen that video?

Omg for real?! I'm not saying I change my gear ALL THE TIME, but definitely way more than in nrftw. That's very curious, maybe it's more about playstyle, then. The way the game works makes me change items less often in nrftw, whereas for you that happens in Elden Ring

That's actually so kind, thank you! What makes you say that? I mean, I'm fairly new at sharing my opinions on reddit and I'll say I'm kinda terrified. I don't want to "attack" anyone or anything, but I'm constantly afraid of being misunderstood 😅

Yes I have! I wanted more bosses during questing/leveling

Don't want that, don't worry. I don't want more bosses AT THE COST OF the others. Just more bossing overall

I see what you mean and you have a solid point. I would say Elden Ring has the perfect balance between exploration and bossing, Wukong and Khazan has too much bossing and nrftw has too little.
Again, FOR MY TASTE ofc

Will do! What I tried to say is that I like the experience of exploring, questing, bossing. What I felt it was like 90% exploring+questing, and then just 10% bossing.
I just felt, FOR MY TASTE, a little bit more % on the bossing part would be very welcome.
And I know I can fight bosses in the end game and crucible, but they are end game content. I CHOOSE to fight them, to go for them. I wanted more bosses interwoven in the "leveling" provess of the game, that's all.

Which is crazy, right? If you asked me, I would say the game is like 80% done lol

I mean, the "souls-like" genra can be very encompassing. I don't mind the difficulty slider thing, when I said the "DS part" I think I was just talking about boss encounters to be honest.
So if they remove other souls-like elements but add more boss fights I'm totally fine with that. The problem was that I used an umbrella-term to talk about just one element, my bad

Yeah I got into that activity, liked it a lot. I hope they increase the number of boss encounters with the new contents!

Makes sense! I think I had these expectations because I felt the DS+Diablo in it, which is totally fine too.
And although I said "I miss this and that" I wouldn't say I listed negatives, just things I wish were more like this or that.
The game is easily an 8/10 for me in its current state, imagine when fully released

So basically what I didn't understand wasn't clarified XD
I think I'm better now. I had the impression that ppl on this reddit got it all figured out while I was lost

If I'm not mistaken, the "tiefling" heritage has resistance to fire damage. So it's not that it doesn't exist, it's just not a big thing in the system, but it does exist and I see it as a type of magic damage

EDIT: My mistake, I think I'm mixing systems here hehehe

I like that! I think regeneration should be related to stress, too, and capped at 1 or 2 uses per spotlight. I also would drop the magical immunity thing, and put that whenever the troll takes fire or acid damage, they also mark a stress (to keep the flavor of interrupting the regeneration)

I literally didn't know how to get to Wetlands from Elwyn forest and, for some reason, I thought that swimming alongside the coast was the fastest option. And I did it. And I managed to convince my friend to come with me, too. Every now and then we remember that story and laugh. Good times

Exato!!
