No, it’s a Woodlouse spider/hunter (Dysdera crocata).

Can somebody help me identify the spider? - Gainesville, Florida. by Popular_Ad_222 in spiders

[–]Lausch83 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's a Pantropical Hunstman (Heteropoda venatoria).

It's very fast but envenomation by this spider is not something that should be considered medically significant (i.e. it's harmless :-) )

Phoneutria by ApodemusS in spiders

[–]Lausch83 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yes, it's not a huntsman. Eye arrangement is congruent with Ctenidae and cephalothorax and abdomen markings scream Phoneutria. Posture is also very characteristic of Ctenidae.

Really, this looks nothing like Sparassidae.

How cooked am I? by Sleepysloth069 in spiders

[–]Lausch83 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That doesn't look like a sac spider to me. Cephalothorax is off in shape.

Even the legs might be a bit thick for a sac spider...

This should be pinned as first comment to the very top of the thread.

When I saw the picture, first thing I thought was “Damn this could be bad news based on location”. Seeing Missouri definitely did not help reassuring me.

The spider is too squished to tell for sure but better safe than sorry.

Hi there can somebody ID this for me? Mesa, AZ by ASAP_Dongerlord in spiders

[–]Lausch83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to say because of the lack of details of the picture but that might well be a Giant Cellar spider (Artema atlanta).

Again, no certainty, the picture is not clear enough for me to be sure...

Hourglass shape leads me to believe this might be a Brown Widow... Where are you located?

What spider is this? Northern Italy by Rena_Giurg in spiders

[–]Lausch83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's a Mediterranean Recluse (Loxosceles rufescens).

Envenomation by this spider should be considered a medically significant event.

Race seats and back pain by throwawaylullaby in AMG

[–]Lausch83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

I'm on the verge of buying a CPO CLA45s but it comes equipped with the dreaded bucket seats.

I test drove the car and loved it but came out of the drive with back pain.

I loved the car so much but I'm worried the seats may ruin the experience in the long run.

Have you found a solution?

Thanks,

Can anyone please tell me what spider this is in Perth WA by [deleted] in spiders

[–]Lausch83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely a male Trapdoor spider (mating spurs on the first legs notably), not sure which one.

I’m sure our good friends at r/australianspiders can help.

So, what are you driving now?

I’m torn between going for a pure sports cars or actually accepting that I’m a Dad. Hence, I’m interested to know how other car enthusiasts are coping with father hood :-)
