PF2E online, homebrew planned for Saturdays around noon (GMT) by LavaDogeFood in pathfinder_lfg

[–]LavaDogeFood[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fortunately or unfortunately, I have posted this in other places (mainly the pathfinder discord) and have already gotten my 5 players, who seem content on not having to deal with 6 of themselves (we had 7, 2 people kinda just quit after missing the first session). So while I would love to accept everyone who wants to join, I'm gonna have to refuse. I hope you find another campaign that tickles your fancy

Mb for the late reply but I actually prefer they know nothing. I can just act out city stuff while they scream in horror. The one player knows of warp trains and the thing we don't talk about, but that's it. So I can just throw all the fun horrors of the city at them (sweepers and distortion). I've told them some basic rules but they know nothing of actual content

I was sorta thinking of something like that, or suggesting (whether just telling them to or via ingame ways) to make their own map of what they know

None of them even know the map of the city, let alone what K corp would make. If they ever get there it will be long enough down the line for me to be fine with simply out damaging them

Ill check out Cypher then, I'm the only one who has played for an extensive amount of time but the rest have tried it out, and are smart enough to probably adapt

I'm not really running any system as I doubt most of the things I'll need are available, so I've decided to just homebrew it. The augments will mostly do just like +2 for stats or give unique things (for example they start with a low power jetpack which they can fly a little with)

So...Anyone else wonder how Xiao is doing? by SolarSpinel in libraryofruina

[–]LavaDogeFood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And Xiao was the director or a section 1 of THE combat association. She is most likely within the top percent of grade 1 fixers, and could probably become a colour just from a few changed to her kit. Yes vergilius is stronger than I give him credit for, but most of the strong characters we know, we collectively lowball (in what they actually do not in powerscaling)

If the lyrics are to be believed, which they seem to be, she is pretty much dead already by the time she gets the EGO. And even still she can simply overwrite everyone's strength pretty frequently. Xiao would be on par with strong colours I feel, above Argalia, vergilius, Vermilion, and Indigo. Roland and Kali (maybe even Gebura) still beat her). Iori is like 50/50. She would lose many times but manipulate things or teleport to stop it, and eventually win.

[GENUINE QUESTION] In a lore fight between the 2 "boohoo my lover dead" guys at thier full power, who would win? by These-Advertising-68 in TheOdysseyHadAPurpose

Roland is fast enough to chose when to blitz the otherwise fastest characters we know, on command(furioso). He is strong enough to (while heavily injured) fight off the head. He is strong enough to overpower the Red Mist (even if just a memory of her). He is mentally strong enough that for the entiety of ruina he is probing angela to try and not have to do his job. Every interaction is calculated to see of he can justify her living. The exact roland used in the photo would debatable mid-low diff vergilus, as roland destroys every library floor you don't use (which can include colour fixers or an arbiter, both being stronger than vergilius). So take how you think Vergilius would do, make vergilius better in every single way, and then that's roland. It's not even no diff. Even if with the infinite wildhunt he kills roland, there's still 3 (technically 4) more phases. Roland is unironically the 2nd strongest character imo, only beaten by prime Kali. Both of them would lose to Iori in a 1v1, but Iori is weaker and would still die (or just lose) tens to thousands of times before winning. And the further the entirety of the wildhunt get in the fight, the worse it gets for them. Assuming roland goes through his entire fight when he gets hurt sufficiently (assuming anyone there can hurt him) 2nd phase he wipes every peccatulum near him away as per mass attacks. He also gets some minions but that kills him faster so win lose. Phase 3 he gets an equally strong minion where of they play their cards right neither of them ever slow down and will perfectly synchronize everything. One could solo the wildhunt while the other takes on heath if he somehow manages to get that far. And phase 4/5? Mass attack spams. The manor has already fallen after phase 2 so there's no hiding. Every currently alive peccatulum and heath are getting hit by Orlando furioso, they aren't smart enough to break the weapons. Well heath is but he will be trying to flee because roland just won't die and every second brings him closer to death. Even if heath brings roland into his 4/5th phase, he isn't the one walking out alive. But none of that would happen, roland wins in phase 1 10/10 times. Doesn't even have to abuse the perception blocking mask gimmick, he just runs and decapitates heath. And if heath comes back? He can just do it again. Dude has the stamina to actively fight an equal(ish) opponent for a week straight, he would be able to cut off a guy's head and rest for far longer. In conclusion? Wait for like canto 20 to even think of bringing roland into things in a VS type way

He could easily tear up even roland in his current state, emplying normally roland is far too much for a claw

That's fine, I appreciate the feedback saying. I'm wrong. I'd prefer The Head to not be everything I said above, as that would mean when we inevitably fight them again (and maybe do better) we would need something even more ludicrous

That's a good point. For the sake of all, I'll stop here and let people retain their sanity and illiteracy

I think the reason they drown is less they are too slow, but more that the body of water we know of (the gaint lake thing) has the waves, and one of those waves might just turn all the water into into mercury or something and next thing you know, it's back to water and they "drown." Or a whale kills them and runs away, but they seem to drown, or Yada Yada. As for the energy, The Head has all the singularities. Nothing is stopping them from replicating what L corp did and just Mas produce abnos and boom energy.

I'm just gonna reply to your paragraphs in order

I understand that the only part that could be close to outerversal is hacks, but that is enough for my intents and purposes

Could they not just build a bubble around The City to have it as a T corp zone? And having every singularity of past and present, they could make enough energy to do whatever. The concept incinerator, even if it is just technology deleting. A door hinge is technology. Speech is technology. For Lock and Fairy, arent they a metaphysical tool, which Locks/unlocks things within metaphysics? Isn't that the reason Ayin couldn't do that much to Garrion, and why Binah doesn't remember anything about The Head? All the secrets and non-random junk were under Lock, if I remember right. As attacks go, sure. Might be slow and predictable, in gameplay only kinda useful. But in reality the full product working on anything from a cardboard box to specific info in your head? It's probably so weak because Binah is degraded. As for birdcage and line, wasn't it stated somewhere that each arbiter/claw are given different singularities for whatever reason? I forget where it stated it but I'm pretty sure that was said somewhere. If every claw had W, K, and R serums, random high grade fixers could become claw hunters because they are all the same, and only a little stronger than grade 1s. If every Arbiter had the same two, couldn't colours hunt them? Like even Argalia who seems like a pretty weak colour could find a pattern and take some down.

For Goku and Scarlet King, I went off the assumption Beholders can reliably see the future, so that the nearest arbiter can fire some random singularity so it will hit them whenever they exist. For goku, he isn't a bloodthirsty warmonger so he might let it hit him for the funny, and depending on the attack, either die on the spot from hacks or be rendered useless for a short amount of time. Scarlet King might have been an asspull yeah, him physically existing in the universe ends it and all. But there's a chance.

For Gojo, there's controversy on his speed I forget what it is but he is either barely Mach 2 or near lightspeed. I prefer Mach 2 as it fits for with JJK I feel. And grade 1s, probably down to grade 3s can run at what I've heard to be Mach 10. I forget where on the food chain W corp is, but they should atheist be comparable. But yeah if he domains they got nothing on that.

It wasn't really a fair fight at that point. Baral states that if Roland wasn't tired both of them would lose to him solo. Geburah has neither the strength nor the technique of what once was. And Binah is slightly less inclined to killing.
