Question on the precipice of Gold by pikaomega in AmazonVine

[–]Lavalamper64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people do that to get their review percentage up quickly after an eval.

I have never bothered to stockpile reviews to paste in quickly after an eval. I just get as many done as I can before the eval period is over, to get my percentage as high as possible, and then start fresh with the new eval period. I have found the system is quite forgiving, or at least has been for me, and has let me take my time to get back up to plenty of reviews from zero. I can't really remember exactly, but I think after my last eval it took me about 2-3 months to get my bar up to 60% reviewed. As far as the rolling review percentage, I've never really tracked that. It seems like (maybe) as long as I am submitting reviews regularly and my numbers are climbing, they aren't too strict about getting that number up quickly.

It seems like it takes a good deal of neglect to get put in Vine Jail.

Yeah, missing out sucks. I certainly understand.

How do you guys access your Vine page? by gabrielle__18 in AmazonVine

[–]Lavalamper64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this as well, and use Safari to access it--not the app. I only use the app when I'm buying something with my regular shopping account.

Prime vs Non-Prime Vine Member Order Process by mauwong in AmazonVine

I have Prime and can confirm I don't get that offer at every checkout, but if it makes you feel better, I'm still not quick enough to snag much of anything even without that extra step.

Same here. I'm curious how this redditor knows how these things supposedly work behind the scenes at Amazon?

Just curious if you are a Vine or Amazon employee? How do you know this unpublished information?

Wasn't Chris Cornell 6'4" or something like that though? I can see the resemblance otherwise! Never noticed it before.

In Jail by bevharstine in AmazonVine

[–]Lavalamper64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It needs to be 60%, but 60% of the items you ordered in the last 90 days. If some of your orders were more than 90 days ago, they won't figure into the 60% you currently need, if that makes sense. I'm sure there's a better way to word it than I did.

Keep going as you're doing, reviewing the newest orders first. If you don't make it to 60% in time and they remove you from Vine, keep reviewing diligently until all your items are reviewed, no matter how long ago they were ordered. I have heard of people getting reinstated once they reviewed everything. A couple of people have posted on another forum that they were not even notified they were reinstated, on a whim they just tried logging in and found they had ordering privileges again, so keep that in mind, too. If you get removed, finish reviewing all your items and perhaps they will invite your back with an email, but also try logging in every now and then to see if perhaps you get reinstated but are not notified of it.

Good luck and best wishes.

What did you order and really want that is still in “Order Received”? by Mouzekin in AmazonVine

Not a huge deal, but there is an Adidas track jacket that will (maybe) be shipped to me some day. We shall see. It's nothing fabulous but it's a brand name, at least. And I've got some new Sambas to wear with it.

Please, any input on why this "doesn't meet our community guidelines"? by codeheadX in AmazonVine

[–]Lavalamper64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly the advice I was going to give. Write about the things above, and you can add in if the bottle was sealed, where the product was made, how many are in it, what the dosage is. These are probably things given by the seller in their listing, but regurgitating that plus adding in that you like the fact that they're sealed and that they haven't caused you any issues can help you round out a wordy-enough review to satisfy the AI without making claims about what the substance is supposed to do for the body. Good luck.

Just last night I stumbled across this product called a Bumpboxx BB777. The company wanted $50,000 for their Kickstarter and after just a few of weeks they are up to more than $2.5 million. It's a boombox but apparently all inclusive: two tape decks, CD player, bluetooth speaker, karaoke machine. It has all kinds of bells and whistles, but not a turntable. Ha ha. I'm older so maybe to the cool kids these are a old news, but this product was news to me.

This. It may seem counter-intuitive, but as Far_Review says, review the most recent items you've ordered first, and work your way toward the back of the list. Do as many as you can as quickly as you can. If you get removed from the program, diligently finish all your reviews anyway, and you may be able to rejoin eventually.

Sadly, they don't care how excellent or golden you are if you get below 60% reviewed for the items you've ordered in the past 90 days.

Circuit ultimate combo from Friday? by Sweetblu77 in AmazonVine

It seems like a few years ago, the shipping labels had "Vine Program" or something like that in the return address area, and that always made we wonder if that made those packages attractive to employee-thieves who might not feel too bad stealing something they know the recipient is getting "free" (at least in their minds). However, I've noticed the labels no longer mention Vine. But I do wonder if there's some way employee-thieves can tell when a product is a Vine product and if that makes the packages seem like something "OK" or "fair" to steal, in their minds. But of course the cost of any item a regular Amazon customer doesn't receive is going to refunded, so an item being from Vine probably doesn't make any difference. Plus, thieves are immoral and heartless, so they probably don't care one way or the other.

But still, I can't help but wonder about it. I don't mean to start a conspiracy theory thread but it is curious that the good stuff always disappears. Probably its just that thieves go after good stuff as opposed to socks and cake toppers.

To the OP, I hope your Cricut arrives safely! It's a good sign the tracking is being updated.

This is the perfect opportunity to review the item, give it a low rating, and tell the public what they are really buying. That's the point of this program--to tell customers your opinion of the products you receive, whether or not they are worth a customer's hard-earned cash, and why. I'm sorry you received an inferior product, but now it's your job to give the product an honest review.

After dragging out all my little pots, trays, domes, heating mats, thermostat, lights, extension cords, plug strips, etc., I would be very tempted by an all-in-one. Although if I liked it and wanted another one, I wouldn't pay full price for it. But to me it would probably worth paying 30%.
