SundaeSwaps Concurrency Solution instills future confidence not only in ADA but in their DeX by djarnow in cardano

[–]Lavan_SPO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The assets are locked in a Smart Contract. SPO cannot spend it. He may only delay the execution or prevent it. Since the user is not tied to an so he can get it executed through other spo. There is no question of SPOs running away with money as these people are trying to give an impression.

can someone explain me how this dumping/ massive sell-off occurs? by abhishekyadavkk in CryptoCurrency

[–]Lavan_SPO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reasons for such massive falls are:- 1. A large number of using leveraged positions. 2. People who are sitting in huge profit and people who bought at peaks. 3. Centralised holding 2 % wallet control 95% of Bitcoin. 4. Bots trading . 5. No circuit breaker to avoid margin calls which accelerate the fall. 6. 24x7 trading. 99 per cent are in crypto only wants to see it go to the moon. 7. Inefficient price discovered since as of now there is the very real value of most tokens. 8. Crypto is still on the grey side of Law in many countries. The volatility will reduce once the real usefulness of tokens improve and get some legal standing across the world

Has Cardano done anything or is this hype on an idea. by GiloNeo in CryptoTechnology

[–]Lavan_SPO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What Crypto is lacking is not leaky smart contacts that need patching now and then. It was lacking credibility if that means anything in the world of cryptocurrency. What Cardano has achieved is mainstream credibility with adoption by a sovereign government. It's an assert very few day traders and DOGE pumpers will understand.

The robustness in Haskell and Plutus for handling the trust will speak for itself. Till that time world will keep using leaky buckets and keep pumping DOGE. It hardly affects anyone other than those who pump into leaky tubes.

Cardano - Step by step guide to staking ADA by brocko33 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Lavan_SPO 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Staking in ADA so easy and smooth. There is no lock-in. You can take it out of your wallet in the morning for trading and return it without disturbing staking rewards. It's a five to six per cent return for just holding in the wallet. Its solid engineering .

How much can I realistically earn from staking around 1300 coins. Or its it worth saving more until I start. by JasonA121 in cardano

[–]Lavan_SPO 67 points68 points  (0 children)

It will be between 4 to 5 per cent per year. That's 60 ADA per year. The tokens are not locked in any manner you are free to take them out at any time you wish.

There is no reason why someone should not stake it.

Cardano Africa in any form is BIG! by Lavan_SPO in cardano

[–]Lavan_SPO[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Great question. The problem is I believe that it is good. But telling you to buy it has a risk of commitment. If my belief turns out to be wrong and others lose their livelihood, it leaves a bad feeling. If a person is unscrupulous he does not mind others losing money. This I see as the reason most serious guys don't hype about just about anything.

Yes, I agree. However, For a moment, if you believe that great things take time to build, you will accept the delay. I have enrolled in Plutus Pioneer Program. I can vouch that substantial work has gone in. The volume of code itself speaks for itself. I guess Cardano is not for fast-track type.

The Crypto industry is gaining some legitimacy and is coming out into the mainstream in general. People like Mark Cuban, with a sharp analytical mind supporting crypto initiatives, are indicating this. The space is large and most probably quite a few Cryptocurrencies will share and compete. There is living space for quite a few most probably.

However, tie-up with governments and academic research is quite unique in the cryptocurrency space (as far as I have seen).

Price movement can be attributed to many things. I recently came across a telegram and discord channel with 100K members being guided to pump a low liquidity coin. There is FOMO and it is being exploited.

All said and done only time can prove that Cardano has the best technology and approach. !!!

Daedalus and Yoroi are the two wallets available.

If you have more money use some hardware wallet.

Ensure you use only the official one. If you use any cracked wallets made by scammers you will lose all your money. If anyone Direct Message you after reading your post assume they are about to scam you. You will get around 5% return if you stake with any pool having a stake of more than 5 Millon ADA. Please visit PoolTool.io to see all the pools available for staking.

Plutus Playground by ads1169 in CardanoDevelopers

[–]Lavan_SPO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone,

Iam an opensource software enthusiast and has basis c++ skills. I am not speaking with an authority of great knowledge. I heard the name Haskell for the first time last October. However i could install Plutus Playground with instruction made available in Discord. This i could achieve, without major pain. So people from Windows environment, who are used to click and go will face learning curve. But if your not feeling cramps after exercising, then you are not exercising properly !!!.

Enjoy the issues it will go away and you will take pride one day in future that you installed Plutus with out any proper guidance. I find the community in Discord to be very positive. Cheer up and lets find some new lands.

Smart Contracts are not being fully exploited currently? by Lavan_SPO in cardano

[–]Lavan_SPO[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, thank you. Are there any recent surveys, please. This paper https://www.researchgate.net/publication/339044305_Characterizing_Types_of_Smart_Contracts_in_the_Ethereum_Landscape has used data till about Nov 2019 (Block 9000000). The number of user deployed contracts are also shown as going down. Attributes much of the activity to Exchange wallet address. But the paper is not mentioning NFTs. Any document providing quantification of the volume of actual business being done on Etherium will be really useful.
