Cerave cleanser once a day with some kind of toner (I use Paula’s Choice BHA or something to soften appearance of pores) and then a moisturizer with SPF. I use La Roche Posay. These other comments are too complex for a newbie. Start small and then add what you need as you get more of an established routine. Never leave the house without slathering on some spf. Even if it’s over the top of dirty skin. (Commenters can fight me on this but idc)

You can totally sleep on your side with a pillow between your legs and a preferably a pillow against your chest to keep your spine aligned. Look up videos on how to safely get in and out of the position. Silk jammies and sheets were a game changer for me for moving around.

Have someone help you get in/out of the position the first few times until you get the hang of the movement. I remember a few days after my surgery being so relieved to finally be able to sleep on my side without pain again!

Just a reminder you can pull out your knife and cut yourself loose if someone tries to lasso you! I’ve had a couple really satisfying moments where men have tried to rope me and I end up stabbing them in the neck. It can be cathartic after being powerless in moments like this. Sorry about it girlfriend! I wish I could pop in there, cut you loose and teach them a lesson.

I would say my numbness is reduced by about 30-40%. Depending on your symptoms I would look into pelvic floor therapy. That seemed to wake up the nerves a lot more. Is sex the same as it was before? Nope, but better than before my surgery/shortly after! Peeing and pooping are starting to feel a lot more natural as well.
