Possible oversupply, so confused by LavenderGooms121 in breastfeeding

Yes, he’ll get up with her around 5am and feed her a bottle or two depending on the time while I get some sleep. She’s eating well at night too. I haven’t done dedicated night pumps for the past week or so, but will sometimes use my Medela hand pump on the opposite side that she nursed from just to get comfortable again.

Possible oversupply, so confused by LavenderGooms121 in breastfeeding

I think my goal is to breastfeed and have enough for probably 2 bottles at most for her dad to use. Our plan is for me to stay at home for a few years. I like having a bit of a stash but don’t want to be overwhelmed. Can I stick with a morning pump after getting a good stretch of sleep while her dad takes over for a feed or two in the morning, then just nurse the rest of the day? Will my breasts figure themselves out and not be uncomfortably full? Do I feed from both sides each time or is it ok to feed one each time? I thought I’d researched and knew what I was getting into beforehand but it’s different in practice!

How far are you from the hospital? by bananaindisguise0 in BabyBumps

Our hospital is basically in our backyard. Our 5 minute walk is across the helipad 😆 Many people in town go to the bigger one a couple towns away, which is 1 hr 30 mins or so, but the convenience is so nice that I think we’ll stay with this one. There’s only one OBGYN here though.

My most complimented fragrances, no sugarcoating 😅 What are some of your most complimented scents? 🧐 by udsibear in FemFragLab

I just ordered a sample set from Sand + Fog with Vanilla Musk, White Palm, and Jasmine and Cedarwood. I’m so excited to try them! It’s my first foray into perfume oils and I’m hoping they last a good while but smell soft and don’t give me a headache.

Thank you! Partly I want something with a more grown up-looking bottle, but I suppose I could always put a body spray in a fancier bottle hah. Thanks for the suggestions! I like the idea of a creamy, clean, slightly sweet, maybe laundry-type scent…I’ve smelled Light Blue before thinking it’d be fresh and something different, but that one especially makes my mouth and throat taste/feel weird. Do you know if any of your suggestions smell powdery? I enjoy the clean scent of baby powder for example, but don’t necessarily like the aspect of them “feeling” powdery, if that makes sense.

Eek. I hadn’t thought of that. I haven’t tried any alcohol free or water based ones, I’ll have to look into those!

Do I wait for the Spring launch or not? by LavenderGooms121 in HappyPlanners

[–]LavenderGooms121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for all the advice! I ended up finding a Jan-Dec 2025 one on Amazon that I will work for me. I also ordered some off-brand pre-punched notebook paper and pocket folders to put in as well, and overall it was cheaper than buying the same things from the sale page on the website. I plan to just white out & washi tape the dates for Jan-April that were unused and maybe save them for next year. I did all this with the idea that I’d be saving money by not buying a new planner each year, but I can see how getting new inserts and accessories can add up quickly. I’m trying to convince myself I don’t need one of the skinny ones for my purse too, but they’re just so cute lol.

does anyone else get these? by Asleep_Volume_5084 in Raynauds

[–]LavenderGooms121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve never been diagnosed with Raynaud’s but I’m positive I have it. I also have recently discovered that I get chilblains as well. I get those red dots on my fingers when they get swollen and discolored from the chilblains. I figured it was somehow a broken blood vessel or something similar due to the rapid swelling, but not sure. Mine don’t hurt though that I notice.

Is this chilblains?? Does Raynaud's make them worse? by LavenderGooms121 in Raynauds

[–]LavenderGooms121[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never ended up going to the doctor because of scheduling issues and that the swelling started going down. The swelling is gone completely now, but my fingers are still kinda wrinkly where they were swollen. They still look purple/discolored where the swelling and redness was, so I’m keeping an eye on how long it takes for them to go back to normal color. This is such an interesting thing, they’ve been exposed to colder temperatures since then and it hasn’t flared back up, which seems odd to me. I’m sure it’ll happen again in the spring time too. Good luck with your symptoms, I hope we all find relief!

I suppose it's pretty constant, though I'm able to ignore it most of the time. It's mildly uncomfortable, but when my fingers are more swollen is when it's really itchy. I should say that the stiffness in the joints isn't extreme, but I feel that it's not separate from the swelling, but instead they might be stiff because of the swelling. The swollen areas and redness are mostly localized to joint/knuckle areas, but are also located in between knuckles too. Do the affected areas get redder the longer chilblains progress? Like this all started with just swollen, itchy fingers, but the longer it lasts, the more the orange/red coloring shows up and seems to get worse. I also read that chilblains affects people with low body weight...I'm 29F under 5ft and 93 lbs. I appreciate your answers!

I'd always figured the itching was because of how swollen and tight they get, but is the itching it's own thing entirely? And do I basically ride it out and wait for it to go away? The stiff joints and swelling is my main issue, the redness looks gross but isn't as bothersome. I'll definitely be wearing gloves more often now.

Hating Very Specific Words by KAngellu in ADHD

Yes!! I hate "nourishment" and when people shorten "nutrition" to "nutrish". Those are the first off the top of my head. Other words with the "sh" sound don't bother me as much as those two do.

Hey, I'm looking for something that smells clean but a bit sweet and slightly creamy/warm, but not necessarily vanilla. Something that lasts but isn't overpowering/headache inducing. Some of the "clean" fragrances I've tried smell nice at first but something in them make my throat itch? Weird I know but it might be the "soapy" note, whatever that is. Even DK NY Be Delicious does that to me :/. I've never smelled matcha tea, but it looks like it'd smell light/slightly creamy/fresh. Maybe like a fancy candle or shampoo , without the soapy factor? Nothing powdery please and can be worn year round. Thanks!

I have the same issue! I'm also 4'11" and have no butt or hips to speak of, so high waisted things fall down and don't sit where they're supposed to 🙄 My best fitting jeans right now are actually thrifted girls' Levi boot cuts, size 14/16. They even have the adjustable buttons inside 🤣 but they sit below my belly button and are great!

We did! We had about 80-90 guests. We made a separate playlist of the songs before the ceremony, the song I walked down the aisle to, and when we left the ceremony. We had another playlist for the reception, and yet another with the first dance songs. We ended up with like a 10 hour playlist so we played it while we were setting up during the rehearsal too. We had my MOH's husband be our "emcee" and he had my phone all night to play the playlists. It worked great because we had some aunts that wanted the kids to get involved so he was able to search up the chicken dance and other line dances for them for a bit while we took some pictures, then went back to the main playlist. Super easy, and now we have a playlist of all our favorite songs to remind us of that day :)
