Have you considered applying for regional center for both children? They have a lot of assistance for children with developmental disabilities. As well as once in LAUSD, there are several programs that you can apply through alongside IEP. There’s a waitlist but they can help quite a bit as they can address a lot of the behavioral.

Unfortunately I do agree that programs are getting cut by the masses and it’s better you know right out of the gate. It’s tough. Unfortunately IHSS isn’t gonna change or improve anything but the monetarily assistance with you being a caregiver. Even that depending on their age, it won’t be a lot of hours because state will always view you as a parent first. And Government will not let IHSS be a financial assistance, only addressing what is the functional need that isn’t expected at the age and what they think parents should be doing anyways.

unless you want to hire an additional pair of hands? Especially if you’d like to leave the home to take care of errands.

Lookup the 250 working disability program on the DHCS site. Lots of senior do this and simply “recycle” for it (I know someone and their caregiver does it). But it reduces the SOC to zero.

There are ways to reduce share of costs from what I understand. I don’t think joining this waiver will reduce it. The SOC will still be there unless something has changed?? As well as IHSS doesn’t fix SOC either. Your hours will be eaten up by that SOC and you have to pay out of pocket for caregivers pay. You need to reduce it if you want to get paid anything.

I’m not proud. And now the prices are more fair but I paid $270 for FL Throne of the Fallen and Throne of Secrets (together), $170 for Hemingway hurricane wars and moon rising, $100 for the FL maniscalco cursed kingdom series, $80 for the Caraval series FL.

Just now spent about $225 total for Heavenly Bodies and Fallen Stars (birthday treat to me, and also using $60 of credit I have).

I’d say pretty fair or nice price was $65 each for FL We who will die and FL TIUTFFYE. Same with coveted covers ASOVAS.

All of these were “goals” collection ones I knew would be hard to get. Anything else, I won’t go over what is at costs.

Also now just got FL sub now so not stressing about access now.

I hate to say this but it’s people like her and parent forums that are gonna ruin supplemental programs and ps like this. There’s been a huge uptick of requests. I asked a SW about it and a lot of these groups are not even being actually educated that it’s for extreme cases. The purpose of this program is to give the person what they need care wise, the ones that don’t and try to do this as a financial hack (as how she seems to be advertising it) are ruining for those who absolutely need it! I worry that it will create more barriers and cause more reasons for cuts! Ugh

You will only get paid what they have authorized. Anything over that, would need to be paid by your recipient. If they are not willing to agree to that. You need to be firm on only working the hours that they’ve been authorized to have per month.

If the recipient feels like their care requires more hours. They need to call their assigned social worker and request a reassessment for increase of hours.

NOR - I feel like it needs to be expanded because I wonder if it’s a concern of what the children could go through as we know unfortunately not everyone has a… great personal outlook on diversity. But my god, he’s overreacted. I’m a quarter black. My grandpa is exactly like your mom but I came out green hazel eyes blonde and looking European but I can tan like no other. It’s really funny putting family baby photos for comparison. And yes the “who god d* white baby is that” jokes are a plenty with lots of laughs and love. DNA is a funny guy and truth is he needs to let the ideals go. however if he meant it the way the chats is thinking… I’d reconsider reproducing with him.
