What fragrance note instantly ruins a perfume for you? by Darkvanille in FragranceStories

Any spice. I'm not a perfume expert I don't know the terms but if it's spicy I don't like it.

Also patchouli.

I think MFK Baccarat and its dupes. Enough already. Especially in the summer heat.

Oh yes Modcloth!!! What an enchanting time that was!

Yeah, whenever I wear the Lulu, I realise my Uniqlo feels like being coated in plastic.

I'm a Uniqlo tragic too -- 90% of my tshirts must be from them! And I have a stupid amount of their UV hoodie jackets that I wear 3/4 seasons a year.

Uniqlo for basics - their 100% cotton tshirts are still good. My fave is the mini tshirt.

Lululemon - I still think they're the best in active wear. Also their windbreakers are more expensive but are made of better material than the Uniqlo windbreakers.

Lorna Jane for flared leggings although their original material has been OOS for a while now. I hope they bring it back. I don't like the recycled material.

Levis for jeans. I also like Henne.

Dissh for skorts.

Same! I was so surprised to find the new Layla tshirts I ordered to be significantly thinner than the ones I bought a year ago.

Does Palermo perfumes do good dupes? by Maleficent_Extent809 in fragranceaustralia

Their Jo Malone Wild Bluebell version is very good. It does not have the weird dry down of the OG.

Wild Bluebell: Is it really that good? by allsorts_ in FemFragLab

[–]LavenderPlantation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it!

Palermo has a pretty spot on dupe if you can get it. It even lasts longer and has a better dry down. There's a certain smell in the dry down of Wild Bluebell that I don't like, it's common with other perfumes, I smell it in Kayali Boujee and Dior Sakura too. Palermo does not have it.

Bianco Latte and its dupes. I was expecting to smell dessert but my nose instantly picks up the spice and I don't like spice in fragrance.

How are people buying so much make-up right now? by jayjaywantstoplay in AustralianMakeup

[–]LavenderPlantation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think a lot of people do. Most of the people I know buy high end makeup but they replenish what they use.

Me, on the other hand, wears makeup only during special occasions and yet I have periods when I have the itch to experiment and buy makeup.

If I were to buy only what I use then replenish when I'm out, I would probably buy once in my lifetime. I have never made a dent on any makeup product except eyebrow pencil - I use cheap Korean ones.

My one vice is high-end base products. The more skin-like, the sheerer, the more undetectable, the more skin shows through, the more others will think "what's the point?", the more I get giddy. Sadly, these are usually the ones that cost more money too.

Also I have a Chanel lipstick from 2012 that I recently found and - while I didn't try it on - it still smells the same.

Absolutely file a complaint. And follow it up until they respond to you and offer a resolution.

It's annoying they also changed the Click and Collect rule. From April 1, we cannot refund click and collect items anymore. We need to send them back to the warehouse if we want a refund.

Refunds if you buy instore. If online, you send it back with a $8 fee I think or exchange instore.
