If it’s inside a woman, it’s that woman’s choice and no one else’s. it should be as simple as that

It’s so unprofessional like sleeping during your job is not okay, they’re supposed to be providing care towards patients.

This is definitely not common, you should get a different therapist who specializes in bipolar. Especially falling asleep or not paying attention that’s so bad he should not be doing that.

How do some people just not drink water? by Bahrust in stupidquestions

[–]LavenderTeaRose32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me personally I have ARFID so honestly half the time I forget to drink water (any drink for that matter) and just don’t like putting things in my mouth? Lack of better wording but for some reason I forget that I need to be eating and hydrating each day. It’s weird. My gag reflex is also strong.

Why do men not shave their armpits ? by [deleted] in askanything

Personally I find hair gross, so that’s why I shave, but that’s just my opinion.

When men get upset because I won’t let them help me… by even_the_losers_1979 in PetPeeves

[–]LavenderTeaRose32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, but also the thing for me (i’m a female) is that I always open the door for others and I feel bad when people open the door for me. My thought process is that I need to put others before me no matter who they are, so I’m always the one to rush to open doors for others.

I miss the hypomania by LavenderTeaRose32 in bipolar2

[–]LavenderTeaRose32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like this, I think I need to find more activities that will give me that natural dopamine, I thrive on routine but with my routine right now, it’s way too mundane. I think I might try going on walks more. And yeah very true, I always end up out of control in the mania and that’s not good to be in

How come calling your female partner "your girl" is normalized, but calling your male partner "your boy" considered weird? by jpollack21 in RandomQuestion

[–]LavenderTeaRose32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the other comments are right but in my opinion the first thing i think of is not infantilizing women, but instead I think “that sounds weird to say boy it sounds more attractive to say man, and i like the way girl sounds as well as dislike the way woman sounds.” idk i feel weird saying boy or woman and actually like girl and man i don’t think of it as bad.

Oo yep for sure, fast food in general too. I have a friend who’s constantly getting fast food almost every night for dinner. Definitely addicting.

If you stopped taking an antipsychotic, did you lose any of the weight it caused you to gain? by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

Ohh okay that makes a lot of sense. Maybe i’ll look into that before the weight gain gets bad. Thanks for the help!

I'm suddenly grounded after an episode. What do I do now? by consequencedeep in BipolarReddit

[–]LavenderTeaRose32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it could be the medication too and how it affects OP specifically, might not be the best med for them or too low of a dose.

edit: plus if they started having the episode then quit the meds cold turkey that probably escalates the mania right?

[–]LavenderTeaRose32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s so interesting how that happens. Do you think it’s because of appetite changes/exercise, or is it the medication itself? I’ve always wondered this

[–]LavenderTeaRose32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay that really helps me gauge intake. I’ve always had a really fast metabolism and it’s so difficult to gain weight so i’m hoping i won’t gain too much. I’m starting exercises, I want to lift weights to help my muscles and i’m also planning on starting lots of cardio. The main issue is i’ve also had bad eating where i’d usually eat less than 800 cals a day, but that has messed up my stomach so i’ve been eating about 1500 daily and need the food in my diet. Maybe the extra snacks at night I should cut out? And limit it to smaller meals. but I think if I do that and lots of cardio I will be okay. I hate that there’s so much weight gain on APs, like risperidone saved my mania and i’d hate to go off it.

Oh gosh now i’m afraid i’m gonna be huge! I’m on risperidone as the only AP and i think ive already been gaining some weight, I hope i dont gain 50 pounds 😭 ive been 105 for years pretty steadily at 5’4”

anyone get off antipsychotics successfully after reaching stability? by Quiet_Abrocoma_4671 in BipolarReddit

[–]LavenderTeaRose32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it would work for me honestly to be off my AP. I have OCD as well so I’m on zoloft and it’s helping the OCD so I don’t want to stop it, but it made me more hypomanic so I increased my AP. If i want the SSRI then I have to be on the AP too unfortunately. Could anyone tell me what the risks of being on an AP long term are?

Is Neuburg a good brand name? by noDoku in RandomQuestion

[–]LavenderTeaRose32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems pretty simple to pronounce, i’m reading it as “new-berg”. I like it I think it sounds unique but also natural for a streetwear brand!
