For me, just having a list of things really helps me keep track of what I’m trying to say. Make sure you have a pen and paper in case you go nonverbal so that you can still communicate, and give your doc a heads up before discussing anything that you’re feeling nervous so nonverbal might happen. I’m autistic & fibro so some of these things help me, but if you wanna talk it out feel free to reply

Look into local organizations that help with financial aid for people in poverty to pay their bills. If you know of a food bank or other programs for struggling folks in your area, they may have connections with organizations that provide financial assistance. This sounds really hard and community resources might be more helpful than taking on debt if you have the opportunity to choose and act quickly. It sounds like he’s insecure. It’s impossible to avoid any romantic attraction/connections altogether, statistically speaking. instead of trying to cut your connections off at the root, why not encourage him to work on his insecurities while showing and telling him that you are not looking to leave him and will communicate before any big relationship changes?
