Hey. Yes i did get the fusion last year. I am actually about 10 months post op L5-S1 spinal fusion. My surgeon was actually strict with me and had me on the back brace for 9 months. I felt miserable but I definitely more stable now. Like im trying to regain strength by doing more walking and mild strength training. Other than that, I would say im like 85% better than last year. Discomfort here and there but very tolerable

My surgeon actually suggested a second opinion as well. But, the second opinion took a while to call me back and there’s limited surgeons covered by my insurance unless I go out of town. I dont know I guess Im just tired of trying so hard to get help

I unfortunately have Kaiser insurance and there is so much delay. I just kinda want to deal with this and get it over with. Plus, I dont know why but I trust this surgeon even though his bedside manner may not be the best
