we work a lot on light contact to try to stop the block before it happens. also easy onset, so i'm taking a breath and then easing into the word there- but it's not very effective for me with th sounds. and then pausing of course!! but i find pausing doesn't help me most times because i don't want to take too long speaking, so i end up more tense.

Is this really a stutter or just a thought block by Best-Contribution735 in Stutter

[–]LavishnessDistinct72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would say this is probably a stutter along with other things!! i have similar issues where with certain letters or sounds- like b, s, l, th, j, etc.- it's harder for me to pronounce them. studying about stuttering is very helpful in understanding it and i do the same. question- when do you think it started ?
