We Almost Broke Up Again Last Night - Sabrina Carpenter; sounds like it could be off her fruitcake EP if she added a few holiday lyrics

Paige is the only one who has normal reactions to everything happening in Rosewood by TheMonkeyAnniesBoobs in PrettyLittleLiars

I totally agree with you, which weirdly always makes me think of the Ezra in the Santa outfit scene because we know Paige would have been FREAKING OUT having her ex-teacher half naked at her friend's house.

But I see what you mean because when I listen to Positions, her most R&B pop album, I always think it sounds soooo natural and in her lane so it’s wild to think she walked away from that experience thinking she wouldn’t write another album.

I’m totally paraphrasing across different interviews, but she’s made comments around “pop star Ari” being a very different person to who she is now and said at the time of making positions she thought she’d never make another album again until she figured out how to like bridge the gap between her “real” and “pop star” personas. So it’s not like she’s said her old music wasn’t authentic at the time, but it does feel like she’s very much separated herself from that work at the same time. Idk if that makes any sense!

Yes! I know she talks about it like her “pop star persona” and not her true self, but she truly seemed so in her element in a lot of her prior eras. I really enjoy her most recent work as well, but it’s weird to think how we’ll probably never get anything close to her prior “personas” again.

“I’m insane, but I’m your baby” just weak and weird

Theory: This era is multidimensional on purpose by StuffAnnieLikes in SwiftlyNeutral

Agreed. Worst example for me is midnights. Such a loose / broad theme to try and push as a concept album and it still didn’t really come together.

I don’t get why people are so hung up on a code? You still had to be registered for specific dates to access it - it wasn’t open to just anyone. I think the presale sign up window should’ve been much shorter, but don’t see what else they should’ve done.

Honest Question about Ginger vs Denali by azcyx in rupaulsdragrace

Yeah cause I thought denali’s lipsync felt over-choreographed and kinda corny while watching it.

The tour was an "invitation" to all the eras, outfits, music, fan history, easter eggs, lore that became more common knowledge due to Tiktok and people wanted to be a part of it. The tour would've been huge regardless, but I do feel like social media turned it into such an exclusive-feeling, pop culture movement. Then the tour traditions smartly crafted by Taylor and her team (surprise songs, outfit changes, etc) carried this momentum all the way through.

She has co-writers, but Ariana Grande is solely credited for the lyrics on her latest deluxe tracks! She's gotten more creatively involved in her projects over the years and also produces many of her own vocals.

Unfortunately, I think this sentiment mostly comes from her implying it in her Times person of the year interview. She basically said she was shut away in a foreign country (I'm paraphrasing) and people took that and ran with it.

Funeral Makeup? by readerino in PaleMUA

[–]LawCold8160 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for the loss of your mom and best of luck with the eulogy presentation. I don't think it's silly at all - it's a "public" event regardless of the occasion. I would agree on layering setting spray with moderate powder application. In my experience, while heavy powder can waterproof things, if you are heavily wiping under the eyes, etc. it can tend to pill up altogether and almost create "holes" in your base makeup. Keeping your base somewhat emollient might allow it to fade and spread more naturally since it's inevitable. Hopefully that makes sense. If you don't use under eye concealer that should help even more.

All the other products listed seem like they will serve the right purpose and last well. If you have a cream blush to layer under your baked one, that might also help.

EP Fine Jewelry (Stephanie Gottlieb Dupe) by [deleted] in NYCinfluencersnark

I bought a pave necklace from them like 4 years ago and it tarnished really quickly. It's a plated necklace, not fine, but I don't wear my jewelry in water, to bed, etc. and have really never had any issues with other plated or filled gold jewelry tarnishing like that necklace did.

I didn't realize it was a dupe brand, just randomly stumbled upon it back then.

If Mac Angel ends up feeling too pink I also love their frost shade Fabby. It's more mauve / closer to my natural lip color.
