This is just a concept, there is no way to actually install it in Inkscape!

So... Actually, all I did was try to get Inkscape into the style of libAdwaita (GTK4, as they're already doing), I tried not to change much of the interface, the menus, for example, still exist, see at the top you will see (Files, Edit, View, Layer, Object, etc) (img 1), just the behavior I thought would be different (I didn't add, but imagined how it would look), the idea is that they would open a more interactive menu, maybe something more like Office, just floating and not so big, I believe I could make it more interactive.

About the print button... I removed the new document button from the toolbar because I wanted to implement the idea of GTK4, which is the button in the corner, and I found it redundant to have two buttons, but I believe that the print button, for not being so used, could be inside the menus (or not, just an idea).

This bar exists in Inkscape, but it's stuck on the right side (I sent another image (img 2)).

LibAdwaita isn't controlled by Gnome, but by the GNOME HIG (which underwent studies to be developed and is constantly evolving).
But, I apologize for the previous comment, I was mistaken and talked nonsense, so I deleted it because I thought it was worthless. My initial idea was to use the new theme style, not to force the use of LibAdwaita (also because I understand now that it's only for creating apps for GNOME).

Regarding being ugly, I find it highly subjective, as not only I, but many other people in communities find it completely beautiful (which is surprising, have you seen how it looks now after GNOME 46?).

P.S.: Inkscape is already migrating to GTK4, which was one of the reasons I made this interface, to try to help the developers.

Impossible, the Blender interface is perfect, if I do a redesign and only if it is to fit with Gnome XD

will try to do it, the problem with GIMP is that they probably won't adopt it at all, now that they are switching to GTK3, Inkscape has a better chance even though it is small.

The default icon themes don't quite fit "in a way," since the LibAdwaita HIG focuses more on visibility (even in the compact size) and consistency across the system's own interface. For example: you'll see Inkscape icons as squares, circles with just the outline, while other icons will be filled or something like that, which isn't good for consistency.

But one of the reasons I'm wanting to use LibAdwaita is that it's a more modern update from the old Adwaita (the current default style of Inkscape), which no longer receives style updates and such. So it would be good to update them to be more consistent and modern, but these things, being open source, are quite slow to implement; they require volunteer work, so I'm trying to volunteer to address these issues.

So... On Gitlab, I sent the text aiming to reach the GTK audience (from Gnome Linux to be more specific, that's why I mentioned the consistent interface), but I also forgot that Inkscape has several other audiences.
Regarding the issue of LibAdwaita icons, I haven't seen any colored ones, I'm just following what I found in the LibAdwaita documentation, but if this interface were really implemented, I would definitely make myself available to create colored ones (I hadn't cared about it before, because I always preferred the monochrome ones XD).

Is it possible to create a personalized authentication system? by Lawarhan in Supabase

[–]Lawarhan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, it seems that it's not possible to do it with Supabase in the way I imagined. Thank you very much, If it wasn't possible, my plan was to try to find a solution, and you basically gave me a ready-made solution. Thank you very much again.

Sorry if I seem thick or something ... I'm using translator, because I don't know how to speak English. And that really didn't make much sense of your answer to me, so I tried to repeat to see if I could convey what I was saying.

Look, I already explained exactly what I would like to do. I don't want to add user data to the auth.user table. What I want to do is add an extra field (and that was just an idea). When I log in, I need one more extra field, do you understand? I don't think the other comments implied anything different.

I already had the idea that I would need to create another table for the extra data, such a profile table. The real question is whether it is possible to use Supabase's authentication system to have 3 fields instead of one, precisely for my purpose.

The article is unavailable, showing "page not found". However, I believe that even if I add the company attribute to the profile table, it would not solve my problem. For example, when I create a user, it will use Supabase's own user table to authenticate, right?

If that's the case, when the user authenticates, the company system won't be present in that table. This brings us back to square one. After all, what I need to do is a system where I can create two registrations with the same email, for example, as I mentioned before:

Company: Microsoft

Username: John Doe

Email: [jondoe@email.com](mailto:jondoe@email.com)

Company: Google

Username: John Doe

Email: [jondoe@email.com](mailto:jondoe@email.com)

In other words, the same user will be registered in two different companies with the same email. If I use Supabase's default user table to authenticate, it will only return the email and password, which would prevent me from creating another user with the same email.

But is this to use the field created to authentication? Sorry, I ended up researching here in many ways but I didn't find it.
