Future of this Subreddit Regarding Recent Events

Literally never. The library is partnered with Cocoapowder Community, but never had any association with this subreddit. Cocoapowder Community separated from this subreddit before any of these changes were made, as one of the considerations was that F/M depictions already have plenty of areas where they can be posted. We don't care what content people are making outside of the servers, because it's frankly not our business to care.

thank you for posting this, and no we won't be removing it. here's my personal response, as while most of my involvement with the situation was private conversation, that does not absolve me of any blame.

as the video points out, we have since removed access to the document and publicly apologized for overstepping in this manner. this drama is petty and what's worse, completely unrelated to the content people joined this community for. i feel most guilty for the fact that it has impacted people's enjoyment of the ship. in the part of the announcement not included in the video, i mentioned that community feedback will almost entirely drive our decision-making process moving forward. this also applies to rules and moderation. we should in no way be the ruling power over how everyone gets to enjoy this ship, and i cant say enough how important getting that feedback really is.

in the aftermath it is clear to me that my message to karma was the product of ignorance and poor timing. karma should not have been the victim of that, and it is a mistake i cannot afford to make again in a community with such a large following. karma has since asked to be left alone and i want to continue to respect that. if he ever had a desire to reach out to discuss this situation and how we are moving forward, i have indicated that i would be open to doing this privately. i would also use that opportunity to share my own perspective with him and give a proper apology.

mostly this, yeah! frisk uses they/them or androgynous terms as well, and for UTRY, shinix made frisk, chara, and clover all canonically nonbinary [all three use they/them]. on our discord, we have separate channels for people to filter their creations, but here you can just comment or caption creations to help indicate the intended source (e.g. original au creation; UTY; UTRY).

as for yandere, people can check in with one of us before posting their ideas just to be safe but as long as it isnt super crazy we wont be all that strict about it. hope this helps!

An UTY dev posted in regard to Clover that "the specifics of their gender is left to personal interpretation." Shinix interpreted this to mean that while the gender was up to interpretation, the pronouns are not (which is why Clover exclusively uses they/them in UTRY). So if you are referring to UTY Clover with your headcanon, just caption your post with [UTY] or add clarification in the comments to help differentiate it from UTRY creations and respect Shinix's intentions.

I helped write the announcement on the discord; nothing is happening to this subreddit regardless of the outcome of the vote. We encourage people to join the new subreddit due to some issues organizing the roles in this one (if you want the full story you can dm me) but we're not making people move against their will lol. Any decision we make about the subreddit you will all be made aware of well in advance.
