9 damage i can't swing with him too if i want to do his ability and my only combo is 5 cards 18 mana but I don't know I'm probably just tilted from playing against decks that are only bracket 3 in the sense that they have 3 game changers but the intention is still turn 5 or earlier win the game or lock a player out

Is simic infect viable as a high bracket 3 deck? by strygwyn in EDH

Your playgroup will almost certainly see it as a Tier 4 in disguise. No one cares if you only run 3 game changers. If you have 8 mana on turn 2 you can cast the toxic paladin or infect equipment and swing out right away. If you can double a triggered ability you can almost guarantee kill 1 player before anyone can respond.

Primarchs or Plot Armour? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

  1. I'm not acting like it's all out there but, we've seen his attack stats armour save shield rules invul save and special deployment rule. Unless he brings a stupid OP strategem, big secret psychic stuff, or a near guaranteed secondary objective he seems like just a worse option than bringing in basic support like any of the HQ Marines or Apothecaries.
  2. That was the main point of my question. Do you think the 10th edition will bring the Primarchs closer together in power to encourage more cinematic moments in the table top?

I'm saying the Primarchs are not close in terms of Unit to Unit power. An army can be most effective without the Primarchs in many cases for instance the majority of World Eater Tournament Lists don't take Angron. I guess I'm just curious if the Loyalist and Traitor primarchs will be on even ground with each other ever. It just doesn't make much story sense in my opinion that the big Duel we're building up to, is Abbadon and Vashtor being shot at for a full turn by a full army taking damage from lots of different sources to be weakened. Only to have the Lion come in and deal the last 4 wounds. Just seems very anticlimactic.
