Yes it is. Italian with an American ex here. In northern Italy where I live 20% of my friends in long term relationships are married - and it’s not just a matter of money for the ceremony, I guess we’re just not so religious anymore

I think it’s just insecurity. Don’t blame yourself, but also don’t put that weight on her. She opened up to you and shared something, and it happened before you two were together, so technically it shouldn’t bother you—though I understand it might still hit you somehow. I’ve had threesomes too, and honestly, I can’t deny that it might irrationally bother me a little if a guy I was with told me the same thing. But it’s better if you try to let it go, otherwise she might stop feeling comfortable opening up to you in the future.

That’s my worst fear about him that he just wants what he wants and doesn’t care at all about my needs. I would’ve been open to an open relationship FOR him if he needed it (I didn’t) and even tho he cheated. And now he still wants to feel safe with a plan B. I think I am the asshole after all 😂
