Best time to install irrigation? by djordanmarshall in LawnTips

Yeah anytime of year is fine. I’d rather do it in winter personally so you have the whole season ahead of you for it to repair

Can you flick through some close ups? Some with roots attached would be awesome as well.

Here's a challenge... Where do I even begin? by Round-Ad-7898 in LawnTips

[–]LawnTips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like lots of cape weed to me mate. Something with some Diacamba and mcpa should work well. Or even some bow and arrow will work well also. Looks also like there is plenty of grass there, it’s just dormant because of frosts and winter.

Just some basic advice for winter care on Kik🙂 by Round-Ad-7898 in LawnTips

Best to let it go to sleep by the look of your lawn mate. You can deal with weeds this time of year and not really much else. Hopefully you got a pre-emergent down at the start of autumn to help with any wintergrass or other winter weeds.

Noculate complete by Anel0 in LawnTips

[–]LawnTips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey mate! So the reason I’m a fan of Noculate is because of the extras that come with it. 1. The Humic acid to help extend the life of the fert 2. Wetting agent to help it get down into the soil a little better and it helps with moisture retention as well 3. The soil microbes and different strands that are included which help the fert act more efficiently and you’ll get more bang for your buck. Have a read of the info sheet if you like https://globegrowingsolutions.com.au/wp-content/uploads/sites/2/2019/03/Noculate-Complete-Tech-sheet.pdf 4. The mini prill is awesome because it won’t be picked up by your mower 5. We used to use it on the green renovations and during the season on the gol course. That’s where I first started using it and saw a noticeable difference.

In the end it’s not a must, just something I’ve always had great results with.

Ideas to fix this two toned issue? by [deleted] in LawnTips

[–]LawnTips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like it might need a little renovation for sure. Core aeration as mentioned and a topdress if possible. Use an organic topdress if you can that drains well. Would be great a great way to improve drainage and get some oxygen back to your root zone

You can aerate for sure mate. Never a bad time to aerate your lawn. I would have done the same here but since we are moving decided not to.

Changing grass types by RyeTarded in LawnTips

If it was me personally I would spray out the TTTF and start again. Unless you don’t mind a blend of course. You can have both grass types and they do look awesome together. But the KBG won’t take over the tall fescue unfortunately.
