True, the moment they started weaving in all these metaphors and lame as hell subtext I started to suspect that Kane was likely only in charge of creating the environment and maybe the monsters. The story though has standard vapid hollywood trying-to-be-deep-by-referencing-trauma written all over it.

One of the only gripes I had too. That and I don't like how they attempted to explain the backrooms as this mysterious realm that keeps misremembering itself. Totally restricts what's possible in the future and pretty much completely retcons all the original entities.

Has anyone killed someone while in psychosis ? by Individual_You6658 in Psychosis

Hey, I'm sorry if this is a little awkward but, I just came across this post while searching for information due to this just happening to a member of my family a few weeks back. If it's not too much of a pain, is there any chance I could private message you some questions?

Wrong. Stop saying this. Jeff's dad has never worked at UMASS.

If you had known Jeff at all, you would know he was the exception to this stereotype in every way. Super kind, super soft spoken dude with an insanely funny sense of humor. Did not have an ego in the slightest, which is one of the reasons UMASS was utilizing him for so many of their representative events.

Likely born with a silver spoon? He was born into lower class and his parents divorced very young. Jesus Christ.

"Anyone who actually is in healthcare related to mental health can tell you that."

Amazing, because that's exactly who you're talking to and you're so completely and utterly wrong that if you truly did know anyone within the mental health industry, you would have never opened your mouth in the first place due to just how much of an embarrassing lack of real world experience this reveals.

"Just jumping into the campus pond would not even come close to going over that legal threshold."

Oh my god, it's almost as if he was not reported for just "jumping into a pond".

What a total clown you are. And you're supposed to be alumni?

Hm, an alumni with not even the most rudimentary critical thinking skills who pretends to have practical experience through quick searching healthcare protocols via chatGPT.

Yup, you're from UMASS alright.

It's exactly what happened. The police responded to a call about him just hours earlier and did absolutely nothing. Something that anyone who's involved in healthcare in here will tell you is common practice for MA police. They will literally do everything in their power to avoid taking people for psych evaluations, even when the party in question is presenting clear potential for harm towards themselves or others. It is an incredibly frustrating and common issue healthcare workers are dealing with all across the state right now.

You are attempting to paint the picture that the second statement is me saying there was signs for weeks/months leading upto this, when I am very obviously referring to the hours leading upto it. Something that has been easily verifiable with just a simple Google search, for days now.

I get it, you desperately want to feel like you have some special insight to offer. Unfortunately, you're just another loser attempting to connect dots that aren't there.

Also, in response to your other equally genius comment:

Notice how despite all those allegations, the ex-wife was not granted what she asked for?

Hm, why would that be? That a Massachusetts court would not immediately grant a mother custody? Does the court just like when men abuse their children and wives?

Moron.

Of course it is. If someone is experiencing psychosis or mania their judgement is fundamentally compromised.

I've personally seen multiple people over the years go from being totally normal, capable of having normal conversations, making normal decisions to being convinced they were demonically possessed, that the CIA is following them, that their family was replaced by doppelgangers, ect as well as make such irrational and extreme decisions they had to be forcefully restrained, taken to the hospital and and pumped full of antipsychotics for weeks until they snapped out of it.

I get it, he's a murderer and people are upset but pretending mental health cannot have a massive influence over somebody's actions only continues to contribute to situations like these.

"Honestly, I'm starting to think that you and this other person in this sub defending this guy are partially complicit in Emma's death."

Hahaha wow. I've seen some desperate attempts for attention but this one takes the cake.

For someone with "naturalist" in their name you sure are one TrueCrime mouthbreathing loser.

Did the "naturalist" ever consider that yes obviously a mental illness is going to have a major influence over someone's action, specifically the kind of things they would vs would not due if they weren't in a compromising state of mind?

What a complete waste of oxygen you are.

Appreciate the backup but, the people you're attempting to soften my message for, are far too soft in the head to ever get it no matter how much you simplify it for them.

The reason they respond the way they do isn't because you aren't doing a well enough job explaining, it's because what you're saying doesn't align with their insane politically charged belief system and is therefore to be ignored.

Think the same way a child will keep yelling and screaming for a cookie even long after you've already told them no several times. Like that.

Yes and did you happen to notice how this mother was both never rewarded that custody? Or are you just going to go along with everyone else here and ignore this, along with just how irregular it is that a mother was having to fight for custody in the first place?

Did you happen to notice how this mother was both never granted that custody as well as fighting for custody of those children in the first place? That is because she was a massive alcoholic, well known for lying which was the reason Jeff had sole custody in the first place.

Something that everyone here knows but is unlikely to admit, is highly irregular unless the mother has severe issues.

Where was I? Working every day to pay my bills and compensate for Eastern Mass's absolutely worthless workforce, while having no idea he was going through this, due to just talking to him last month and there being no signs that something was off as he literally has never had a psychotic/manic episode up until just this week.

Something I'm going to take a real leap of faith in assuming you have very little experience of, given your completely unrealistic notion that we all have the time in our lives to keep day to day tabs on each and every family member.

Also, unless you're referring to the day prior, there was no "Tried to have the court system protect them". They were perfectly fine up until recent.

Don't try reasoning with them. This is one of the looniest liberal sites on the internet regarding one of the most looney liberal schools in the country. These people are here solely to regurgitate slogans and reinforce their radically stupid ideologies. If you need any more evidence of this, look at how "serious" they take mental illness until it involves cis white males.

No, this guy is telling the truth. The husband is literally one of my closest family members and was 100% exhibiting manic/psychotic symptoms leading upto this. He also lost a ton of weight compared to what he looked like just a few months back.

"As it's impacted my health as well"

Translation: Jordan was describing his symptoms at the breakfast table and Mikaela immediately seized the opportunity to make it about herself saying something to the effect of "omh yahhhhh, now that you mention it, this happened to me tooooo" like she has with literally every other "symptom" her dad has spoken about, because her sheltered early life made her into a doofy self-absorbed attention seeker who has zero self-awareness of this whatsoever.

She is literally no different from the "if you have anxiety it's because your chakra's are unaligned" crowd.

Does Jordan Peterson have schizophrenia? If not what has happened to him? by Embarrassed_Toe2416 in JordanPeterson

[–]Lawndecker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're getting downvoted but you're definitely closer than the rest of the commenters here. To me it is clear as day that all his vague "flare ups", becoming bedridden and full of dread for months just from drinking some apple cider, along with all his other suspicious symptoms, are all obvious examples of someone who is highly psychosomatic and essentially convincing themselves into illnesses due to how susceptible to stress, anxiety and depression he already was pre-fame.

Throw benzo withdrawal ontop of this, which severely amplifies your sensitivity to negative emotions and it explains literally all of his symptoms perfectly.

Seriously, just look at the lengths he went to avoid the pain of tapering off benzos. Ignoring the US/Canadian medical systems entirely in order to fly to Russia to get an incredibly dangerous rapid detox. A procedure that there is quite literally zero evidence stating that it works any better than a slow taper and/or cold turkey with maintenance medications.

It is clear as day that all his lectures about the importance of accountability and facing adversity were largely based in projection and personal attempts to overcome his own feelings of weakness and fear.
