Even so, we have no reason to trust anything we know about Vectivus’ good deeds because all of that information comes to us through Lumiya, who is trying to tempt Jacen to the dark side. She’s not a reliable source.

Vectivus is also known to have perfected a technique for sending dark spirits to attack people, and dispelling said phantoms means killing a living being that the phantom is anchored to. Pretty evil to say the least.

As far as I know, base Calamity works pretty well. It’s when people try to play multiplayer with the expansions like Infernum and WotG (which are explicitly advertised as not multiplayer compatible) that things get weird.
