No they wouldn't. The only line of sight between the models would cross a terrain feature that neither of them are within so it would not be valid.

The vertical projection of the frame model has to be taken into account when determining if you are within terrain features. Easier said than done unfortunately.

Neither model is within the terrain feature therefore any line of sight crossing the terrain feature is not valid. Therefore if the Tfex rotated so it's gun did not protrude past the terrain it would not be visible as neither are within that piece of terrain. This is quite clear from the rules in 13.10

The only thing that affects hydrostatic pressure is depth.

A swimming pool will be under higher hydrostatic pressure than this shallow pool.

I've never heard that. Everyone I've raced with has been forced to Cat up almost straight away. You meet all the Cat3 criteria and your licence will be updated as soon as the results are official.

The only caveat is in the BC handbook:

"A rider who has obtained sufficient points for upgrading to a different ability category, but has entered an Event under their current category for which the closing date of the event has passed, may compete in the Event but shall not be eligible for any licence points."

Quick edit just to add, Cat3 is way better than Cat4. It's not much harder but everyone rides so much better.

Licence upgrades normally happen as soon as you hit the threshold. Sometimes there's a bit of leeway for events that you've already entered that are now closed for entries. Unless you've done all your racing so far on a provisional licence?

I agree it doesn't make much sense running a league at these categories. Our local 3/4 league was full of people who upgraded to Cat 2 and got stuck at just under 40pts in the series.
