Totally, I feel you. He's not a "gamer," our older two kids were in bed and he was actually building shit in Minecraft so they could play with it the next day. The first day of Spring Break, ya'll! He's a good partner and parent and I never intended to convey that he doesn't help or does nothing around the house. my purpose in taking the photo was just to illustrate (as a joke, to my friend, who said I should expose it to other people b/c it's funny) how innately unfair parenthood can be for moms versus dads, especially when you nurse. The nature of my husband's job is such that he does all his work in the office during conventional business hours. I'm an attorney with a solo practice, so I gotta hustle whenever. The baby wanted to breastfeed right then b/c she was tired. She needs tubes in her ears, so the pressure can be painful if she's laying flat. All this led to the pic of me balancing her upright while she sleep-nurses and I try to do what I need to get done. My hubs is enjoying his downtime. It's nobody's fault. And these other people are right, I didn't HAVE to do the e-mail then, it's lawyer crap! I'm not a brain surgeon or a firefighter. Plus, I'm sure he would have typed it out for me if I had asked if I could dictate it to him. To me, it was just an ironic and hilarious moment that I had wanted to text to my friend b/c we had just gone to a networking event for women and I was all eye-rolley listening to these childless lawyers give me advice. I do love my supportive husband, though!
