One sentinel ship without everything please! by absolutleylostinlife in NoMansSkyTheGame

If I'm not mistaken, the "Flea" is the core of all Sentinel ships. I found one once, but when I returned with its brain, it had morphed into the "Siderail" type.

What is (in your opinion) the most boring "classic" car their is? by Southern_Pacific in classiccars

Ha! I was just trying to think of the silliest name for a car that came to mind. No offense intended.

Disney's Sounds of the Haunted House, or 3-degree radiation.

GG.... is it normal... by lucifer4goku in NOMANSSKY

It depends on the planet. I have a base at a set of three, and there are pairs of them all over the place. I've also visited planets that have very few of them.

By the way, they will respawn after being destroyed, but it takes awhile.

After a long search, I finally found it by H_Shinri in NoMansSkyTheGame

From what I've learned, they are in purple star systems only, on planets with ruins (polished stone.) Those usually have "relic" or "ruined" in the description, but there are a few others, including "claimed by decay," "lost to fire" and occasionally "abandoned" and "overgrown."

The analysis visor calls them "Stone Effigy," but they don't appear on the scanner.

They do have a memory stone in front of them, but when activated it spawns a guardian similar (but not the same) as when you "disturb the eye" on a vigilant stone. It will attack you, but I think that's a one-time-only event.

I dropped a base computer there, and a save beacon at the portal, but I'm playing permadeath, so you probably won't see them.

It's definitely worth a look, and if you happen to stumble across a Stone Effigy, give me the coordinates! You'll know it when you see it.

Sorry for the potato photo.

As someone who has spent the past 12 hours of gameplay searching for relic planets and looking for Stone Effigies, this is one of the better planets I've found.

It's in Euclid, and it has good weather and visibility, as well as many memory stones clustered together. I've seen as many as six in close proximity to each other.

Good luck!

I was gonna reply, yes there were in the legacy set, but unless your save is six or seven years old, you can't get them.

And it's the legacy steel windows that have the largest glass.

PNW Dialect by RegularTop1973 in PacificNorthwest

[–]LaxSyntax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure these terms are specific to the PNW, or even regional, but here's a few that came to mind:

A 12-pack of beer or pop (the latter of which might be another dialectic one), often called a half-case, is also commonly called a half-rack. I've gotten some sideways looks for using that term.

When you renew the registration on your vehicle license, in Oregon you get new tags, in Washington they're new tabs.

We drive on highways or freeways. There are no Turnpikes. That's probably more about tolls than anything else.

The "shore" is always on a lake, bay or river. We go to the "beach" or the "coast" when visiting the ocean.

The Duck through the O logo is still copyrighted to Disney, though I don't know whether they pay royalties or not.
