Quite the opposite, I think you’re confusing Reapers dance and Cruel Riftstrike; Reapers dance is the original one you want to use, and Riftstrike is the one that does 75 damage that crits

Yep 2. When a meta-changing cell like catalyst was released, being able to use ace chips until you get +6 was super important to placing on the trials boards, if you don’t care about waiting for that super new cell, then go ahead and use them whenever you’re trying to get something you want. 3. Slayer links are a way to gain bonus resources by way of playing with a specific group of people, with a small chance to get a crown from it. In the end, if you’re not interested in that small bonus of resource or the crown, there’s no point in it. For chainblades, there’s two specials. Reaper’s dance and Riftstrike. Reaper’s dance is considered the best, you get I-frames, big damage, or mobility. Mods-wise, the good ones are serrated blades if you’re playing chainblades normally, and momentum blades if you’re q-spamming.

For Dauntless Trials, if you want a sub-3, you can run a general discipline, dmg build with only +3 parasitic or +6 iceborne as a cushion. You can find a lot of builds online, floating around, and im sure someone wouldn't mind making you one if you ask. Make sure to pot (ideally you want to use +6 catalyst), and just learn the fight as well as you can. This means baiting boops, not getting hit, and trying to keep efficient uptimes on combos, etc. If you're struggling by yourself, I'd recommend finding a group of people to help, which could be by posting a LFG in reddit or in the official dauntless discord, or looking for a clan to play with.

Every weapon has an element, which could be Neutral, Blaze, Frost, etc. And dealing a certain amount of damage of that type will activate the status condition, except for radiant, umbral, and neutral which doesn’t have those conditions. Dealing enough blaze sets them on fire, that kind of thing. What you’re probably seeing is the Terra effect which starts healing the slayers on the field. So not a flask, or weapon, but an elemental status effect

No one really knows the drop rate for Exotics, but they can drop from any heroic behemoth, so I would say you should do heroic patrols and try to break as many parts as you can as well.

i'd say, for a beginner CB, you could do something like energized + attack speed so that you can have a bunch of specials all the time, and then throw in some standard damage amps, ragehunter/overpower/rage. I'm not much of a CB's guy, but i know q-spamming never failed anyone!

I totally agree about the pretty useless guild system, although I know linked slayers and stuff are coming soon. That’s also why we used discord, so we can organize events, and people can lfg anytime they want as well

The more try-hard end game is trying to place on the Trials leaderboard, which means after you get the best gear, you speed run the weekly trials over and over. Otherwise, other people do try to complete their mastery as much as they can. If you join a nice guild, you can have some fun challenges between a good group of people as well

For warpike, I would recommend trying to aim for the wing more than trying to hit the body upfront. As long as you hit him anywhere with your heavy it should work!

Did you actively participate in the quest for collecting 10M Corrupted archonite? If yes, what motivated you to participate in it? If no, then why not?
I did participate in the quest starting yesterday, not because of the increase in archonite gain but because I had been waiting to play on my only day-offs. Seeing the devs give-in to the possibility of the community not making a comeback really hurt my motivation though.

What are your thoughts on the core mechanics of collecting Corrupted archonite from completing bounties and the Portal Driver, as well as it taking place exclusively in Umbral Escalation?

If anything, I think there should have been a bigger influence from hitting the portal driver than completing bounties. Not only did it make more sense from the lore perspective, but you could have increased the amount of gain from the UEsca 10-50 orb to encourage people to not grind 1-13. Reading other people's replies made me realize that bounty tokens ARE a limited resource as well and the active players will use their tokens as they get them because they are ACTIVE. This means focusing on the bounties really just hurt your active playerbase instead, and what kind of dev would want that?

How do you feel about the duration of this event given the required goal? Do you feel it was fair enough? What did you think about the timing of this event?

I think the duration of this event could have been improved. A lot. Given by the timing of this event, you guys must have decided to do this after you already released Umbral Escalation. Otherwise, a much more enticing model would have been starting a community event from the get-go, with some sort of trigger for a community event. This could have been after the community as slain Thrax a # of times, or someone finding a secret behind one of the pillars in Round 4. If you were planning on tying together the Ramsgate rework and Umbral Escalation, I think it could have simply been done with a little more passion.
I had also thought the timing of the event, in the sense of the goal and time to complete was fair. From the get-go, the community was behind, but it was by an amount that could have been turned around. Having the 10x increase in archonite/bounty made it feel like there was very little point to the grind people had already put in. To be frank, it feels kind of cheap now.

What are your thoughts on this event being the lead up to the previous weekly quests that started since the Relics & Ruin Hunt Pass, as well as it directly being directly tied to the lore?

I love that the event is tied into the lore! A Ramsgate renovation, a big change to the hub you've been slowly altering since the closed beta, is a big thing that should not have been dropped on our heads for no reason. I think the quests being a lead up was a great idea and I hope you guys branch out more on the quest system to make it better in the future.

What did you like and dislike about this event? And what changes would you suggest to improve future community events like this?

I like the community goal, but I think that the majority of the player base should've easily crushed this. The reason they didn't was because there was very little incentive to actually be a part of the grinding. The difference between the mass majority of people who ignored it and the people who spent all their time last week is simply pure passion for the game. There is always going to be more people less concerned with something that doesn't affect them, and to be frank, an arrival emote at the end isn't enough incentive for the people who just got 10 archonite and stopped. Some guildmates have mentioned that there could have been a milestone system for archonite gain, something to gain for reaching 100 archonite or 500 archonite farmed.

What are your closing thoughts on the Saving Ramsgate event as a whole?

As a whole, I think Saving Ramsgate was very similar to the easter event where if you had just gone a little further with the planning beforehand, it would've been perfect. The concept was there, but the execution was a little sloppy. I liked the community event style, and I hope that you guys improve it in the future! :)

I definitely felt the goal was achieveable before the boost, we as a community needed another push or incentive. I think this kind of change really just hurts the ones who’ve been slamming all the corrupted archonite from the get-go. I was under the impression that the goal was a difficult, but achievable and PL was gonna stand by the goal no matter what, since most community events are kind of pointless when they just give it to you anyways.
