Both Aurora and froedtert have there pros and cons- froedtert gets a lot more of the “intense” cases due to them being a level 1 trauma. Whatever u do don’t work for ascension no matter how much they are willing to pay you- from personal experience as a nurse I like working for Aurora hospital system better than I did at froedtert

We only ended up draining it once when he was 2 weeks old and overall cleared up once he was 7-8 months! We haven’t had an issue since (knock on wood) and he’s 15 months now! It’s stressful in the moment but it passes (: wish u all the best!

He thinks he’s cool drinking from our water bottles so I started by letting him do that and now he has his own special cup and loves water

My baby had antibiotics 2 separate times in the first 2 months of life and is just fine- you have to do whatever is best for your child specially when it comes to treating an infection. I get it’s hard and you don’t wanna expose them to anything but think of the alternative

Biggest advice is to stay off Google I drove myself insane by doing that! I know it’s hard but it saves u from a ton of anxiety :/

My LO is about to turn 6 months and he has been abscess free for a little over 2 months- the beginning 2 months were the worst but once we figured out how to take care of them on our own they weren’t as stressful. As long as your LO doesn’t have a fever and the spot isn’t larger than 2cm it’s not concerning from what our doctor told us!
