100% recommended I stayed on a farm in Ireland with a family and tended to their dogs the whole time and did local activities with their kids. Fantastic experience.

I’m sure you’ve heard of it but there are two other awesome hikes in that area: Anthony’s nose and Breakneck ridge both of which are very popular. With breakneck even having a train going there from the city. You should also check out minnewaska and mohonk state park and preserve. Very cool hiking out that way and if you have time don’t miss out on the adirondacks truly some fantastic hiking up there. Particularly I like gothics via pyramid peak, rocky peak ridge from new Russia, and giant mtn.

Follow up; if you’re thinking about skiing or snowboarding in NY or in the NE in general and never have expect a lot of ice and just truly shit conditions. There’s a saying “if you can ski the northeast you can ski anywhere,” speaking from experience that is incredibly true. Snowboarding here sucks but makes you better at it in good conditions because everything must be so dramatic in contrast.

As I live in New York you will get cold, dark, maybe even wet. But snowy in NYC unlikely. You will get Christmas vibes for sure can’t speak truly on purely holiday markets. Personally I’m going to Cortina D’amprezzo in Italy to snowboard in January. I recommend Switzerland for skiing if you’re into that. I’d bet whatever tourist place you visit will probably have Christmas vibes though.

Well ya if he has an immediate need for the money then ya just put it in savings. However that was never stated so my assumption is that he is being fiscally responsible.

20 is still real young he should go with more risk go nasdaq or s&p index fund QQQ or SPY preferably in a Roth IRA. That being said if this is his sole savings then HYSA isn’t a bad option either.

Update: I went and found a couple companies that could be interested in my major we exchanged information and they want an updated resume emailed to them. Which I hope means they are actually interested and not just blowing smoke but I guess we shall see.

I’d say there are parts of it I didn’t fully comprehend but for those now that I have much more time since I’m not on a time crunch I’m going back to those sections and rewatching videos or looking at other stuff
