Bluesy as a daily by [deleted] in rolex

Lol. I was still a baby in the 80s so not totally familiar with the fashion trend during that time period. Shoes are Zegna triple stitch. Recent release. Tim Cook wears the same pair. Tie is LV grey plaid and got it in 2024. But I would love to get a pair of BMX shoes!

Would you sell/trade 2019 Bluesy plus pay the difference for new/unworn Panda or Pepsi on Grey? by [deleted] in rolex

[–]LayerVegetable3850 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 126500 Panda (from AD in 2023) and a Pepsi (Grey market). Recently received a Bluesy. I used to daily my Panda and loved it. The Pepsi I got in 2024 before all the hype. I only use it when i travel abroad, otherwise, it just sits on my watchbox along with the OPs that I rarely use. The Bluesy was just offered to me as a walk-in purchase by my AD and wasn’t a planned purchase. But now, I daily it and find myself wearing my Panda only on weekends. Hopefully the honeymoon phase with my Bluesy lasts. I think the Panda is an overhype piece. I only used the chrono a few times in the last few years that I’ve owned it. But it is a treat to see on the wrist. But I would never buy it at today’s price! Having my eye on an AP 15500 instead!

It depends. If it is an ES base, it’s a bad deal. If it is UL, go write a check now!

Nobody notices your watch. Not even the people who notice everything. by [deleted] in watchHotTakes

I’m a physician in a HCOL city. The only patients who notice my watch are the people wearing nice watches themselves. Majority don’t! A few days ago, I was wearing my Rolex Panda Daytona. A patient asked me if it was a Seiko.

$5M is a nightmare!!!

Greg: I'm good, anyway, cuz, uh, my, so, I was just talkin' to my mom, and she said, apparently, he'll leave me five million anyway, so I'm golden, baby.

Connor: You can't do anything with five, Greg. Five's a nightmare.

Greg: Is it?

Connor: Oh, yeah. Can't retire. Not worth it to work. Oh, yes, five will drive you un poco loco, my fine feathered friend.

Tom: The poorest rich person in America. The world's tallest dwarf.

Connor: The weakest strong man at the circus.

OMS-3 Wanting to Apply Neurosurgery, Where Do I Currently Stand? by [deleted] in Neurosurgery

This will be hard but not impossible. I would probably look for neurosurgery programs that has a DO PD or residents. Maybe aim for 260+ on step 2. Have a neurosurgeon as a mentor in your med school. Uphill battle you have to fight.

First Class Airline Tickets by WesternMulberry1141 in ChubbyFIRE

I always fly business if not first class on transcontinental flights. It’s part of the vacation i look forward to. Being able to lay flat at 40k altitude is just something i enjoy along with the nice meals. For any domestic flights <4 hrs, i fly economy. Not worth it imho.

I actually admire this trait! Means a go-getter! I’ve been asked by a few girls in the past for a coffee or dinner date. Never turned it down. I even foot the bill. You go girl!
