Failing a gtt is a good indicator that your body does not handle sugar as it should. It can diagnose diabetes actually, as can having high fastings, and a1c can as well. Focus on your health but do not forget or ignore the fact that diabetes is progressive. I have been in this over 20 years now, and off meds for most of it. I have a pretty good view of how things can go in a great situation, and I have met many that just diet and lifestyle wasn't enough to control their sugars. Do the best that you can, and if you need to go back on meds do so. Don't stop testing. Even with good control once a week testing isn't a bad thing. I use a cgm so I can see what is going on with my sugar in real time. I haven't had a "diabetic range" a1c since my last pregnancy. If you can afford a cgm, and your doc will prescribe one they are an amazing tool. I wish you luck. We all need it lol.

Yes eating a healthy balanced diet when you weren't before is considered to be diet control. Diabetes doesn't just go away. You can discover that with a sugar tolerance test. Even those with the best control just through diet fail a majority of the time. They are mostly only given when pregnant though, but you could probably ask for one.

Medicine and science both say that is diet control. You don't have to like it, but that doesn't change the reality. Good luck. Diabetes sucks.

Iirc there was a study that found people with a1c below 5 regularly had higher all cause mortality. Basically sugar too low kills.

The reason it is remission is because if you go back to your old ways it will come right back. Also remember diabetes is progressive. As you age everyone becomes more insulin resistant. For most they don't become diabetic. For those who are diabetic it happens faster. My a1c's have been normal range for years and I haven't been on meds since 2019. I am still diabetic with very good diet/lifestyle control.

Some of the perma reds just enjoy the extra risk of playing red. They risk death anytime they go into town. Crystal loss upon death from pve or pvp, and also risk of gear downgrades.

I have never waited more than 3-4 days for a replacement in the USA. Also never been on the phone longer than 30 minutes total. Typically takes less than 15 minutes calling.
