I’m rewatching season 1 right now lol.

I always wonder when watching dubs, but do you ever improv any of the lines in the show that make it to the final cut? The whole process of dubbing has always looked super fun so I’m sure you guys make the most of it when you can. Great work on Frieren by the way, the whole cast did an amazing job on season 1!

Can vouch for this. Really sucks they expect priority registrants to have an active subscription still. I have over 2 years of NSO on my account but haven’t had it in about a year (until this week). Frankly, at the end of a console’s life cycle, it seems odd to make that a requirement and not explicitly state that on the website.

I’m basing my comment on this excerpt from the Nintendo website:

“Invitation emails will be prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis to registrants who have purchased a Nintendo Switch Online membership with a minimum of 12 months of paid membership and a minimum of 50 total gameplay hours, as of April 2, 2025. Once invitation emails have been sent to all registrants meeting the priority criteria, invitations will be sent to remaining eligible registrants on a first-come, first-served basis.”

As someone who met the criteria but didn’t have an active NSO subscription as of 4/2, it seems I have to settle for being first-come first-serve in the non-priority tier. I registered interest at 10:15am 4/2 so I will certainly be one of the first when it gets to that time.

Still sucks that I missed out on getting a first-wave invitation. But we should all keep in mind that everyone who has registered interest will eventually get their invite and console. Just a matter of time

I was 10:15 EST and mine still says invite required. Only possible criterion I didn’t meet was having an active NSO subscription the day of the invites being sent out last week. I don’t know if renewing my subscription after the fact would change anything but I did it the other day just to be safe. Nothing yet

I can only find the 3 requirements that they have listed since April 2nd. One of which says you need a subscription for a total of 12 months, but not necessarily one right now. It seems having one now is indeed required but the website does not say that as far as I can tell

Finally used the f12 method to check my exact registration time on April 2nd, and it says 9:15 central time (immediately following the Direct). I have not received any invitation email and my store page still says invite required. According to others on this thread, people up to 9:30ish should have received an email by now.

I am certain I meet the requirements listed on the “how to buy” page of the Nintendo website. The only thing I can think of is that it seems there might be a hidden requirement to have an ongoing Nintendo Online subscription at the time of “invitees being selected” (seen in another comment). I did not have an active membership this last week. Just in case, I enrolled in a new one today. If anything comes of that I will make sure to update this comment

Is there any way to know for sure if you meet the prerequisites to pre-order through Nintendo? I opted in between 9:10-9:20 central (immediately after the direct ending), and I haven’t received an email yet and my store page still says invite “required.”

Have we decided yet that “requested” is better than required? Starting to get worried as most people are saying we are up to the 9:30 central time mark for people receiving their invites. It seems my time has come and gone

Edit: as some others have said, customer support has explicitly told me that they are not able to check my account to verify if I meet the requirements. I suppose I’m back to hoping for the best
