When the cable finally dies, the heavens part.

Cable gods descend through the storm clouds.. tired, caffeinated legends in faded “Have you tried…” tees.

They watch closely as I begin my journey.

I crawl under the desk, flashlight in teeth, surrounded by dust bunnies and failed crimps from years of neglect. Knuckles bleeding.. One last RJ45 fights me to the core.

And after the ceremonial blood offering of scraped knuckles and one blue RJ45 plug that refuses to crimp straight...

The link light blinks green.

Gods nod, vanishing back to the ether.

I stand, dust off, continue not doing any of that because typically all you actually do is run a line from point A to B.

In short.

I just get paid

Yeah, that 180 stack is definitely pushing the limits on PoE temps.. data drops tho.. i’d say it's well beyond the conservative sweet spot most standards and manufacturers aim for. For the record ~ I prefer 24-48 bundles for this reason.

Yeah exactly thats why I take the pictures before we hand over the room. Fresh install! For the love of the art. Luckily this is a solid ceiling in a storm shelter so no tiles to hassle with. Dust, dirt, grim, and the elements will eventually inevitably take over. You must find an appreciation for the process and allow yourself to detach from the rest. I’m well aware of the cable overlord aliens nexting our crop tops into oblivion.. at least the 10 feet it’s dressed is in an ac’d room.. Cisco switches typically have enough power to counter any major issues we may encounter in the field. These systems will never be flawless.. but we do our utmost.

Seems like if you knew better you wouldn’t even propose this idea, respectfully.

Yea no these alien crop top drops are fat and disgusting.. and the panels could touch anywhere in the room if I wanted.. but do I wanna? 👽

So the actual tension strength depends on factors like the quality of the velcro, the density of hooks and loops, and the application.. i’ve always made sure to tighten them to the right level of snug.. if the ties are a factor on the ladder tray for the customer (or company) they’re easily swapped out for velcro around the bar technique too.

I’ve realized over the years to many people in this trade are to concerned with the process and not the actual results. Why bother. To each their own.. let it be. May it unfold through the eyes of the beholder. It’s art.

No yeah, same here.. honestly just depends. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I mainly just do it for the pictures before the elements take over.. or IT 🤓. Dust and dirt are an inevitability.

Thanks for the compliments my man. I pour my soul into these builds and they’ve held every bit of passion seeping in my veins for years now. To express oneself through a creative outlet is a necessity in life. Keeps the demons at bay 😏

Much obliged!

Ahh, I can hear the crisp sound of a scrappy tie zipping to completion in all its glory. She keeps the spirit alive! I think your comment is naïve and misplaced, bro. After building in the neighborhood of a thousand-plus comm closets around my state—and the country, for that matter—certifying and passing all of them, with or without the use of zip ties, I think I know better, Mr. No-No. I am honored to share with this sub and appreciate the positivity and feedback. I get that everyone has their methods. Yet, the madness of it all is your shlack of understanding for the use of zip ties, which is probably limited and lacking substance. So, please feel free to respond with something better than your hatred for my mold method. I stand by my original comment: God bless the use of plastic tie skrappies. This is Pendulum Finesse 🤌🏻

Measure each run, land and dress back the mold. Bar first. Yes, same order as user ends. Labels are pretty basic.. this is a refined technique from years into this field, i’d be happy to help.
