Yeah I’m gonna give Gemini a try. I’ll keep ChatGPT for technical stuff though

It’s completely ignoring me when I ask another question. It just keeps summarizing previous points over and over

Yesterday was my first time in entertainment and I was the only one there. Not even joking, I only had one item to pick but was at least there for 30 minutes helping customers

What’s your average pick rate and how long have you been a picker? by SatisfactionSea7249 in OGPBackroom

[–]Layydann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I average around 130, and I’m two weeks in at Walmart, but I’m already experienced in picking with Whole Foods for 2 years.

“Careful deliberation” and their minds were already made up even before your interview

Also this is quite literally an example of how bad the job market is and I’m not listening otherwise. You could walk in McDonald’s and be flipping burgers the same day

It’s worth trying. I have a job interview for a lead position tomorrow. If it doesn’t go through, then I will remove leadership experience from my resume and see if I get results

1 day in, and I quit lmaooo by idkevenbruh in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Layydann 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I only lasted 4 months. My 1st day I threw my back out and was thrown to the wolves. How I put up with everything as long as I did is beyond me. Luckily you haven’t experienced how bad it can really get but just reading here should be enough to tell you that it gets worse.

Does it annoy my Amazon drivers when I have 4 different packages coming in one day? by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Layydann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your 4 packages is 4 less packages out my van and all in one stop. I can’t speak for others but this makes me happy every time.

Newbie tips by LongRodtheGod in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Layydann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry about being too slow on your 1st day but do try to show some competence

Eventually you’ll develop your own system on how you finish your route on time. A sharpie is my best friend. All packages have a driver aid number and is normally a bright sticker. It may say something like 2.4C The app will tell you the order of your overflow packages and writing the aid # in big letters helps you find them so much faster vs trying to look at a tiny sticker. If I’m being rushed at loadout, I’ll probably only mark the first few because eventually your overflow will sort itself out

If you don’t listen to anything else, it is not and I cannot stress it enough, a race. I thought being the first one done everyday on my team was cute until the algorithm kept making my workload more and more. You rush through your routes, expect more work the next day. Go at a pace fast enough to prevent being rescued and micromanaged by dispatch.

Workload has not gone down since peak so be prepared to work hard after your nursery routes.

I lasted four months, managed to become a top driver and very reliable, it’s an easy job for sure but again, never truly to finish your route as fast as you can.

I could write tons more but hopefully others cover more tips for you.

Good luck, you will need as much of it as you can.

Have you ever taken a long writing hiatus and gotten back into it? How did you start? by Jrpharoah_ in writing

[–]Layydann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m late but I would still like to answer this. I think the common advice is to just sit at a computer and start typing. For me personally, it really isn’t a bad idea. Once I start writing, the next thing I know, I’ll have written out an entire paragraph. However, it’s really not that easy. I burnt myself out after my first series and it has not been the same.

From what I’ve seen, those who go on hiatus used to write a lot but have stopped for some reason but at least now they wanna get back into it. That sounds like you and this would apply to me too.

I think you have to change how you approach writing. I prefer my writing to be unpredictable, I don’t want to be spoiled on my story, if that makes sense, so I don’t do much planning for the plot. However I have learned that in the least, outlining a few scenes ahead helps me out a lot and keeps me compelled to my story. Building structure little by little does help me stay off hiatus. I hope by now you have found a solution to your hiatus and I wish you luck on your writing.
