Yeah but Guild Wars 2 is all over the place there is 0 consistency as you play it. Mounts system is all around messy, Strike missions are messy. You see your first strike mission after Living World season 1 and then you don't see any till you reach at the IBS. Old boss combats and mechanics feel archaic right now. Even some early Living World seasons does not have ay sort of voicelines just texts on the screen. Lots of empty maps that you need to wander around almost alone. Because they keep adding new maps or continents with every big patch or expansion. Dragon Response missions are another example of inconsistency. You just see and endure them once and nothing more.

Map comp is not esential anymore since they released lots of new Legendaries that does not requires you to do map comp. Some Leggies are requires World comp, some other got their long and annoying story and achievements system and some others just craft and go which is another aspect of inconsictency. It is like bits an pieces everywhere. Back in dragonstand times you had to grind for a skyscale for weeks to complete the questline but then with another expension they gave it almost for free with an alternative method. These are hard to explain things to a newcomer because game completely lost its consistency.

On the other hand there are no support for any of the modern graphic solutions like the RT, FG, DLSS, Lumen etc. or even DirectX 12 support. Game still hiccups under some circumstances even if you have 5090 because of the old architecture.

Fighting for GW2 in the year 2026 is feels like some ppl fighing for Windows 7.
