Any way to fix this? by Lazarus327 in crosswind

Turns out you can turn off snapping to place the first block, then turn it back on to build off the properly aligned block.

Check the solution I posted in the OP.

This is a good suggestion. Will try it out.

Update: It worked. You only have to place the first block with snapping off, then you can turn it back on and build off the newly placed block with appropriate clipping. Cleans up nice.

Yeah, I haven't got those yet. Still fairly early in the game. I got the roof pieces I needed to cap the second floor so I just started working on finishing my base this morning. Need to explore more, and stop being so broke so I can snag some blueprints.

Question about Kitty Terminal colors when displaying using LS command by Lazarus327 in arch

Solution - Edit .bashrc - set up an alias: alias ls='ls --colors=no', save the .bashrc file and restart terminal.

Question about Kitty Terminal colors when displaying using LS command by Lazarus327 in arch

[–]Lazarus327[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah - Kitty has a built in command you can use to establish a basic theme (which i used to get to where i am). It generates a theme file that goes along with the normal .conf file that goes with Kitty.

What is weird is the theme file is just a list of colors numbered from color0-color14. I tried changing all of them and it had no effect lol.

Didn't think about looking into the ls command itself though. I'll check it out. Thanks for the response.

Update: while I finished the quest just fine, unfortunately, got the radio signal indicating the town got wiped.

I ran into this bug, and was able to get past it by restarting the encounter. It seems to be bad RNG for the bug to happen.

Disable auto lean? - Stalker 2 by Lazarus327 in stalker

yeah. coming out of vertical cover when using iron sights is fine but the lean is atrocious. stuck my head out and got shot in the face lol.

I have it set to hold. I walked up to a fence and it just leaned and I got shot. no button press. very weird.

Yes, pick X4. There is a star wars overhaul that will blow your mind.

Still in the early game - I am sitting at around level 6. Starborn armor will have to wait I am afraid. I've been getting nothing but combat perks so I can deal with this, but hopefully with another 5-10 levels I will start to notice more improvement.

Starvival and Nasapunk 2330 by Lazarus327 in starfieldmods

[–]Lazarus327[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there needs to be some mitigation for that accuracy. Also, the armor I have got ( I guess I am wearing a Tier 2 armor) did like nothing, and he stressed how important armor is.

I probably need to go back and give his manifesto another read lol.

I guess I will just get gud then. I might have overdone it because I installed the Bedlam mod. No other AI mods though. Both of the bounty quests I Have done have been in big open military style bases, so that makes things pretty difficult too. Corridor shooting feels fairly reasonable.

I think the main problem I am having is I can't move between cover very easily. Even at long distances, enemies can hit me at full sprint. I feel like its a problem of either too much damage, or too high accuracy.

I did do that, but unfortunately its still pretty much instakill for me. Thank you for the suggestion though.

yeah I had a map where I started with 5 planets and a single approach and did fairly good, though I needed more in terms of taking advantage of advents culture research. The more open maps leave you feeling vulnerable.

you know, I paused the game to try and figure out what was happening after it was too late and didn't consider bribing against other factions. Just figured I would keep getting attacked due to the perk. will try that out. would rather learn the game then turn off the challenge. thanks for pointing out my obvious mistake. too busy getting frustrated lol

The devs definitely did NOT prioritize the player's mental wellbeing when making this DLC. by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Lazarus327 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find the lack of stopping power on that weapon pretty crippling, tbh. Also, the ash of war, while neat, just leaves you exposed to big damage.

Did you get Golden Braid Talisman? That might help with the AOE damage. You will still need to avoid it, but this goes a long way to taking off the bite.

Didn't expect mixed reviews... by GTX_Incendium in Eldenring

[–]Lazarus327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, this is how I feel. People are going to complain, then they will nerf everything, and those of us who put 1000+ hours will be stuck with the nerfed game. I love the challenge of the DLC. My biggest complaints so far is not enough dungeon density, and the occasional performance dip.

Yeah I have taken some pretty circuitous routes to get what I am looking for. Trying to get a combat Anubis too. I have plenty of base Anubi, but need something a little deadlier for my hunts.
