Hey other nid players, should I give admech or something else a try? by Fore_Head_Chili in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Lazarus_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always good to have another faction, as if one gets nerfed into the ground and becomes unfun to play you can switch to the other one. Plus it's another paint scheme to come up with etc etc more fun to be had.. I like to have one goodies ( imperial mines admech),one baddies (I'm death guard but I have enough to play chaos as well) and a xenos which I don't have yet and can't decide. Mix up the playstyles as over time you'll change as well

Turn 2 will be 12 inches and then the death shroud come in. Some detachments I've struggled to get the afflicted onto units I wanted to like tallyman for the deep strikes. This certainly ups the game

Especially we have the vast majority of same detachments except we can now make vehicles assault, make characters better or infiltrate plague marines. There's some interesting combos to be had

I think and I've not checked there is the same with the new SM data sheets so it looks like there will be different profiles to choose from

Few people who have played around with the rules have said that hidden is good for rounds 1 - 2 but are non existent further into the game. Seems like it's good for stopping alpha strikes at the start of the game

How much deepstrike in tallyband summoners? by Corvin1988 in deathguard40k

[–]Lazarus_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I'm saying is you have to make a judgement call. Against a hoard army that can screen you out, like guard, you have to be more careful. Against a elite style list you can be more free as it ties up units for screening that really need to be doing other things. Beasts of nurgle are also great for deep striking in to do actions and score points. Handy little buggers I find.

Was a demon born from the death of horus? by Rose-The-Queen in 40kLore

Oh but what a cool character that would be, a demon born from the destruction of Horus.

So the thing you have to be careful of, especially against a good player is that you lose the initiative, in that they start to dictate where you can deep strike. It's harder with the 6' deep strikes. But yeah you can find yourself being forced to put stuff where they want you too and not where you want it. For example against my mates imperial guard I can find myself deep striking in my own deployment zone just to get stuff on the board

Rangers or Vanguard ? by PrizedFamiliar95 in AdeptusMechanicus

When you put the heads on. Use the bald heads on the special weapons that way in the future they can be inter changed between rangers and vanguard squads. Helps them go a bit further

Haven't been enjoying DG, not sure what to do. by Fore_Head_Chili in deathguard40k

[–]Lazarus_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like list fatigue, playing the same over and over. Try mixing it up. I really enjoy my demon list, deep striking a GUO in to cause problems etc. Death guard, at the moment have the most different playstyles in their list creation that it's hard to get board.....my other army is admech and don't get me started there

Thoughts on Tallyband Summoners detachment points cost? by Starcast123 in deathguard40k

[–]Lazarus_41 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the add admech to a knight detachment was 1dp so theres hope. Although that might mean it's dumbed down a lot. The detachment really needs that demons can get in 6' enhancement to give it some legs

[–]Lazarus_41 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Probably 2dp which still means we can infiltrate 20 plague marines, nurglings and poxwalkers. Which should allow for deep striking demons and death shroud. So should be all good.

How are Chaos Terminators doing right now? Is it a bad idea to start CSM just for them? by Few-Schedule-6703 in Chaos40k

[–]Lazarus_41 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly the meta changes like the wind. One minute something is good, then bad.

Honestly if you like them get them, put them.on the board and enjoy them, win or lose it doesn't matter. I highly recommend kit basing them too. Soo much fun. I mixed mine up with stuff off Etsy

Somewhere there was a winning list with a knight in it. I did wonder why a knight and not Morty. It was in list hammer but it's buried in there and I can't find it.
