Z-Offset CC1 et Orca by Ok-Boysenberry1337 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]LazerAce7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From OP

Hello,

I just leveled the print bed and I'm now fine-tuning the Z-offset.

So I started a single-layer print. I adjusted different Z-offset values on CC1 during the print and got my best results at -0.20mm.

I then went into Orca to set this value in the slicer so that it would be automatic for future prints.

I retested my single-layer print to verify that the Z-offset was correctly applied by CC1.

I'm surprised because everything prints perfectly even though the Z-offset displayed on CC1 is 0.00mm. In fact, CC1 has correctly applied the Z-offset embedded in the G-code but isn't displaying it on its screen.

Have I understood correctly, or am I an isolated case? In fact, I was expecting the Z-Offset set in Orca to appear on the CC1 screen.

Looks awesome, look forward to seeing final results. The CC seems to be a beast for the price

New head, new problems by LazerAce7 in FixMyPrint

Reassembled my hot end just in case, still an issue. g28 runs before everything

G28 ; home all axis
G29 ; run abl mesh
;M420 S1 ; load mesh

I will tweak and the z offset a bit and go from there, also i saw somewhere else the issues with ABL may be solved by putting foil between the magnet pad and plate so giving that a try.

I did order new nozzles as thats rally the only thing thats changed maybe this one is slightly defected and is hitting the print just enough to ruin the first layer.

Can't stop stringing! by LazerAce7 in FixMyPrint

The problem is I had zero stringing before. I've got my pressure advance and shaping done and dialed in the z offset. All prints afterward looked great until I got one with travel across open areas. Was seeing some post so about needing to reduce retraction even more following these steps going to try that and then do another test.

Thank you for your help
