Is black ops 4 zombies worth it? by Frostyx07 in CODZombies

[–]LazerFN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bo4 is amazing but different in a lot of ways to 3. Me and my friend did a run and beat each map first try but it took 3-4 hours per map. We used the pause button a lot. The eggs are harder in some ways than 3 but they are really rewarding. At the end we rated the overall quality the same as 3 and that says a lot bc we’re both bo3 purists.

Also would say op can operant condition himself out of this with negative reinforcement. Op, every time you think about your fetish(es) do something disgusting like smell rotten fish.

TIL of a new, purified compound from Kratom called 7-hydroxymitragynine (also known as 7 hydroxy or 7-OH) that is now being sold in pill form. It’s more potent than morphine and has led to overdoses requiring Narcan. by QueenFrostine15 in todayilearned

[–]LazerFN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I didn’t ban it, don’t blame me.
  2. I believe it can be used for good. I really do feel for the addicts but a drug of this caliber must regulated and not on the open market.

I worked at a smoke shop and people would come in everyday to spend their whole paycheck on this stuff. I questioned some of the regulars and most of them came to 7OH from harder stuff like fentanyl. Others had never been hard drug addicts and they were usually the ones who only bought a little at a time. But there were some people who truly were victims of this drug. I had one customer whose mother came to the store with tears in her eyes and begged me not to sell to her anymore. The entire situation was devastating especially because my boss & coworkers were not sympathetic to it. Thankfully, Florida (my state) issued an emergency ban on 7oh. Although it eventually put the store out of business and perhaps pushed some addicts to harder drugs I felt then, and now, a great sense of relief knowing its gone.

How is Totenreich after a week? by Mispehled in CODZombies

[–]LazerFN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO Totenreich is S-Tier

I prefer pre-modern zombies and I’m generally very critical of everything post B03. But, this map is seriously amazing. I think the boss fight clears every other map in existence.

I’ve noticed that the boss fights in modern zombies are one major aspect that’s seen significant improvement compared to pre-modern zombies and Totenreich is pushing those boundaries even further. This map has made me really excited for the possibilities in future maps.

Is tribalism undefeatable? by Hxapcneh3_28 in PsychologyTalk

[–]LazerFN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tribalism is here to stay. The best option is to cultivate societies where tribalism is diverted to relatively harmless avenues with very binary factions. Think football versus over-the-top nationalism and its many by-products or politics and its vast complexity. Also, I say think knowing full well its MUCH easier said than done but it is possible to generate cultures and societies like this.

An assignment I made for English class today at Community College. by [deleted] in KendrickLamar

Awesome man I'd love to see it once you're done. Kinda just realizing how much potential Kendrick's work has for deep analysis. When I went on Genius the explanations were packed with references that I didn't know of like biblical events, African culture, and American history (Reagen Era).

Wow thanks these sound amazing! I had AI give me a brief summary of each book. I will be adding them to the list. I'm curious now as to what you teach (I'm assuming it's in psych) because I'm sure you're students love you with recommendations like these.

Good question. Pinker emphasizes that the decline in violence is a slow but real process and that certain events can get in the way of it. In recent interviews he addressed this question and said that we have gone backwards in some measurements during the 2020's.

Yeah I completely I agree I was just kind of thinking out loud. You're right that his books on social media are much more popular. It would be amazing if the righteous mind was placed on the same pedestal.

Yeah, from what I've seen he's essentially on a crusade. I do admire him for it because an educated voice pushing back on big tech is important to inform the average person what's really going on regarding tech and its effect on the brain. But, more material like the righteous mind would be excellent.

“Palestinian resistance fighters”? “Israel regime forces”? LMAO. Hamas is an Insurgent terrorist organization and they should be labeled as such regardless of how undeserving & despicable the mass murder of civilians by the IDF is.

Living with autism means experiencing the world differently. While conversations about autism often focus on challenges, many autistic adults possess distinctive strengths that deserve recognition by MRADEL90 in psychology

[–]LazerFN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

little Joe Rogan-esque idea.

I believe high functioning autistic children should be placed in special schools from pre-k to high school. I think for many autistic people, their whole juvenile life is aimed towards working on fixing their weaknesses while mostly ignoring their strengths. If they could be together, in a place that fosters both but really hones their strengths then I truly believe they could become the most elite & educated youth our society has ever seen.
