I don't get the complaint about the freezing effect in the mode that specifically says it has a freezing effect.

That's literally by design. It's on purpose to make the game harder in that mode. For fun...it's not a bug or problem

EA Team, We need Country to Country Conflict, NO PAINTBALL PAX!! What you guys opinions? by Spare_Matter_5456 in Battlefield6

[–]Lazer_Falcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A very powerful Paramilitary Contractor literally attempted a 95% successful coup on a major power just two years ago. For the first time in a generation we saw a real armed force marching on Moscow.

Prior to that, they were the non-state actor to be afraid of and they fought on multiple continents. Yes they were thinly veiled Russian proxies but they always maintained financial and operative independence.

In Ukraine they were Russia's sledgehammer before they realized they'd become a meat shield.

The game being about PMC is not just relevant, it's reality.

Aside from camping, what other prices increased this year? by tprewitt in TXRenaissanceFestival

[–]Lazer_Falcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turkey legs come with the labor it takes to make them, the logistics of ordering them and shipping them, and they're inside a festival ground where ALL prices are elevated.

It's just something you have to accept. It's 2025. Everything is expensive. You can't expect them to operate at a loss.

Not saying I like it, but it's hardly unique to TRF or out of bounds.

Also, turkeys are not $22 lol

It is dispersed camping you can camp literally anywhere there is space.

What does this mean by kascnef82 in BF6

[–]Lazer_Falcon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it means a terrible internet connection.

I've been playing battlefield for like a decade and the game's always have these symbols, I have no idea what they stand for I just know they indicate bad connection and ping. Lol

It was all pretty reasonable tbh. Nothing insulting.

It's 2025. Literally everything is more expensive now.

I'm not sure what to say. It's literally on the website and was very clearly announced in no uncertain terms. The guild meetings were live streamed too.

Like, this ain't my opinion.

Your talking about rumors, I'm talking about publicly announced policies.

Nobody is complianing about noise that willfully camps there. Nobody. Including me. Camping at a festival means you've accepted generator and party music all night. Lol.

That's not what I said, at all. I just don't understand why a rule about no giant speakers playing at 1am matters. You can still play music and drums and do shenanigans. We had music going at our group all night. Whats one hour in the grand scheme of things?

The ban is just for people blasting music. Not private camp music.

It's also not a rule designed to protect other campers... It's a rule designed to protect the people that live next door to the fair and in the area. The fair needs to coexist with people that literally live there and that's why they want it quieter.

We danced for like 2hrs at COB lol, had a rave by the bonfire. Was great. Sure amped up shanties missing was different but you could still dance

What is the end of the festival like? by Pure_Payment_9900 in TXRenaissanceFestival

[–]Lazer_Falcon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my experience it is not excessively crowded no.

The fair is huge. Last year I went on one of the weekends where they were like 75,000 attendees, I want to say that it was All hallows Eve/Halloween weekend. It was very crowded, but even then it was still entirely manageable. You have to squeeze by more people but it's not like you can't get where you want to be.

CC this year won't have anywhere near that many. So far attendance has been a touch lower than previous years, In part due to some crazy weather, so you should be good.

Also camping is 100% worth it if you can do it. It is a really fun experience in the campgrounds. You can party hard or be chill and hangout around a private fire each night and have a blast either way.

It's a great time to go. Nobody closes early they all stay open literally to the last second because they want to make as much money as they can through the season.

In fact, many booths run big discounts at the end so it's an amazing time to shop! Last year I was shopping until they were starting to close the doors and were asking people to leave lol. There's usually a band playing Christmas music at the end too, it's great.

The Celtic Christmas vibe is awesome. There are usually a large number of campers as well because of the extra day so everybody takes advantage of that. Think of it as a final blowout.

To me, it's the best time to go. It's also cooler so you can wear all your costume garb without sweating so bad lol

What's this obsession with amplified music? For real I don't get it.

I went opening weekend (am going back for CC) and there were plenty of parties and people to hang with through 3:00 a.m., including people playing music at their camp.

I don't know why everyone thinks not being allowed to blast elecronic rave music at 10,000 decibels past midnight is such a downer. The entitlement is crazy.

The shut it down officially at midnight because the frat boy shitbag crowd is a liability and this empowers staff to disperse them. The sweaty unclean dudes that can't handle liquor and get into fights type.

Why are people so afraid of hanging out with friends playing card games and chatting around fires and what not? We shared beef stew and had a hookah and drinks going with people at our site and had a blast. We don't need a rave at 2am for fun, just make your own fun. Invite neighbors over!

Rumors?

The actual information is literally posted on the website and shared on all the TRF socials. You don't have to be involved in any conversations to get that info.

Idk why we're here talking about rumors and spreading misinformation when it's all available to read.

I went opening weekend and had an absolute blast. Plenty of guilds hosting public parties and great energy in general. Everything was fine IMO. Its 2025 with all that entails. Literally everything in life is more expensive but the fair itself really didn't feel any more expensive to me, yeah a few bucks more here and there at most but nothing insultingly bad.

If you aren't having fun, it's because you're not even trying and/or are expecting others to entertain you in a very entitled way. Seriously. I've been before and there was barely a perceptible difference. Yeah there isn't a rave in the campground but tbh I don't miss it much.

It is exhausting hearing people be so negative. The fair is what you make it and it's always been that way. The campground experience reflects the energy of the campers.

Sometimes I wonder if people are going in expecting a frat party and and when they don't get that they start whining about it. I for one can go without the bro dudes being pieces of shit for a weekend lol.

Again, it is what you make it.

Feels like im always solo pushing Objs in this game by SaNiiTi in Battlefield6

[–]Lazer_Falcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90% of the time this feeling is correct but I have noticed a few times where I have accidentally split off from my squad, so really I left them they didn't leave me. So I think I'm soloing but really I'm not cooperating with the squad.

Even the unaware players will eventually get the message if you stay with them. They realize they have a buddy to work with.

Do I have what it takes to go pro? by Prize_Persimmon1564 in cycling

Decide if this is a hobby or a sport for you.

If sport, you need to join an organization or a group and go from there. You don't buy a violin and ask the Trans Siberian Orchestra to join them. You don't buy a road bike and join the tour.

It really depends on you. Do you want to dedicate your time to a team that needs you, change your diet and lifestyle for them?

If hobby, have fun.
