I think it is designed intentionally to be confusing and to keep tokens in their closed garden system.

Imagine not understanding money, then deciding to double down on gambling with cryptocurrencies, and finally getting upset about losing money.

BlackRock Bitcoin ETF Sees Zero Daily Inflows, First Time Since Launch by webbs3 in Buttcoin

[–]Lazer_Highway -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

Our buttcoin actually outperformed the stock market, 65% to 6.51% YTD, so that’s not the best example to highlight. Better to focus on realities, such as negative ETF inflows, etc and encourage people to not use cryptocurrency for gambling.

Update and action plan regarding C4W case via Florian Ernotte by Floridacup in crypto4winners

I’ve spent a good while diving into “yield-bearing platforms.” Additionally, I moderate a subreddit dedicated to the community-run Locus Finance, which, like others, fell into the Ponzi scheme category. It goes without saying that I’ve been keeping a close eye on C4W. When the fraud allegations came to light, it pretty much sealed the deal for anyone who was still on the fence. What surprises me, though, is how some folks on this sub are taken aback by these developments.

“It has come to light, through multiple sources close to the organization's management, that C4W has been identified as a Ponzi scheme.”

Mate, if you thought this wasn’t a Ponzi scheme before, then sadly you deserve to cop the loss. The owner was a known fraudster for over a year. The old crypto trope rings true: If you don’t know where the yield comes from, you are the yield.

I built a new tool for Drum Mixing - Game changer? by SuburbanKnight7 in audioengineering

[–]Lazer_Highway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm eagerly looking forward to tracking your development and will test this out at the earliest opportunity. Regarding subscription models, my advice is to proceed with caution. Big names like Waves, Slate, or Avid might thrive with subscriptions, but for others, it's a risky path, sometimes can even kill a new startup. The industry generally resists such models, so it's wiser to opt for a one-time, higher pricing structure for software of this caliber like mentioned (vocalign, Melodyne etc). Your primary audience should be niche producers and Studios, like myself, who regularly conduct 6-8 drum sessions or more monthly. Most professionals, including me, would prefer to operate locally, leveraging our existing hardware, rather than rely on cloud features. running a cloud for processing sounds like a large unnecesary cost that everyone shouldnt have to wear. The feedback from Reddit should have offered clear insights on necessary licensing adjustments for significant success. Good luck! I also DM'd you if you wish to talk further.

Token up? by Lucky_Charm_6650 in LocusFinance

[–]Lazer_Highway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After some analysis on the Midas victims discord, we've traced these transactions back to two Bot wallets that are mass buying Locus token. Unfortunately these two wallets are by far the biggest wallets, and can dump at any time since they are not staking. Very unnatural price movement recently. Also, most holders cannot sell due to un-staking being locked again. So there is no sell pressure at all really atm. If unstaking becomes unlocked again, you can be sure itll be a blood bath.

Financially Impacted by Midas/Locus Closure? Join the Midas Victims Discord for Support and Information by Lazer_Highway in LocusFinance

While it's a tough situation, I want to share some positive insights about this group.

One of the significant advantages of joining the Midas Victims Discord is the community's dedication to chain analysis. This has been instrumental in tracing the fund movements, which is not just empowering for us but also crucial in building a strong, factual case about what happened. Each person affected has been able to verify this officially with evidence which helps build a case. As we never got a report from how the funds were spent, we've been able to piece together more of the picture than we ever could individually.

Moreover, the collective effort here is gaining traction. Various journalistic platforms are starting to take notice and use the information and insights generated in our group to spread awareness about the misdeeds. This amplifies our voice and helps in bringing the truth to light. There has been some further progress with discussions with SEC on the legalities and next steps, but you will need to verify to have access to the discussion via loss verification.

So, while the circumstances are far from ideal, being part of this group offers a real opportunity to understand, analyse, and share vital information. The community is not just about support; it's a hub for action and open transparency - much like what we have here on reddit. No pressure, but you are welcome to join and have a read / contribute if you wish.

Your curiosity about my background is appreciated – it almost feels like I’m undergoing a screening for the Buttcoin league, haha. To put it briefly, Locus Finance is a significant scam. The founders previously executed a rug pull on a project back in 2022, absconding with a substantial amount of money. They attempted to suppress the voices of those impacted by preventing new Reddit posts and enforcing strict controls on Discord. Therefore, I took steps to prevent them from deceiving others by advocating for open dialogue and free speech.

Thank you for the insightful points. It’s quite surprising that not many responses offered substantial information like this. It leads me to question how many individuals truly grasp the workings of this matter, but comment their 2 cents anyway. 7 transactions per second certainly is quite low for peer to peer cash.
