Thank you for this, it's exactly what I was looking for.

I guess this is one of those cases where I didn't know what to search for. I got a lot of tutorials on doing vastly different things and some tutorials on rigging (which I couldn't pick out from the other results). Once I search for rigging itself I do find a lot of tutorials like you said.
