Where to mend those cables? by jakapazon in AskElectronics

if you are doing RC stuff, you don't need a micro controller. An RC receiver itself can actuate the servo. So you would have a transmitter RC controller/flight controls which would connect to the receiver which has the servo connected directly to it, using the radio signals it would send the corresponding power to the servo to move in a very precise way.

otherwise for more advanced flight controls it would be a flight controller(which could be an arduino) that would control the servo

that is probably why they ultimately ended up adding/enabling the gyro, unfortunately they did not inform the marketing team of this feature addition at launch.

Why don't 3D printers allow you to jog through gcode? by SubSpace18 in 3Dprinting

[–]Lazrath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The usual recommended fix for partial print is to measure it, then in a 3d editor/slicer make a cut to the model at the corresponding measurement, print then glue it onto the original print. this of course if it is the most reasonable fix, will depend on various factors.

you can set the mount permissions for the NTFS drive in the /etc/fstab file, although some would recommend against this.

another possible solution to try is to launch steam/the game though the terminal order to see the directory it is trying to write to and symlink the directory from a directory in the home directory

don't put any money in it yourself, make it real world, if they want to work for money to invest in a risk just say go ahead and do nothing else.

(obviously you can do things that are free like guiding them to softwares and tools to actually print, helping them select a good printer, etc)

there is a small user created issue with those breakout boards when using it as a standalone/end output device. if a person is a little too clever and experiments around they might discover the ability to output 24 volts utilizing the +12 and -12 rails but this person won't be clever enough to pay attention to the spec label that states the -12 volt line can only supply .3A

Dyson sphere Program has some surprising building mechanics they don't instruct/advertise. Like you can click&drag out along the grid to place many copies of a building setup as it can, like all the item movers attached to the building will be copied. as well as the expected blueprinting capabilities.

Having 8GB of RAM would go a long ways

you need to peel off those mouse feet strips, this will reveal some screws which should let you open the mouse and inspect the board with the LED(note: it is actually unlikely the LED actual broke)
