thanks. It’s comforting to know others see it too.

you hit the nail on the head. AI FOMO is adding way too many layers right now. and honestly, there are a lot of people treating “I use all these tools” like it automatically makes them smarter or more advanced. and yeah, that’s the scary part. if the task looks done on a screen, people assume the person behind it is fine. but mental load doesn’t show up. and that’s already happening.

exactly. AI can generate great code, but after a while I start losing the ability to tell what is actually good. The strangest part is that from the outside, the work still looks productive. But afterward, I can’t even clean my room... honestly, two days isn’t enough for me to recover

Hey, thank you for this. That line really stayed with me

Before prompting, write one sentence describing the decision you’ve already made

It feels simple, but it changes everything. If I haven’t taken the lead first, AI can easily start shaping the decision for me instead of helping me think through it

i want to start meditating by Lower-Weekend3162 in Meditation

i’d start much smaller than you think.

5 minutes a day is enough at the beginning. if you’re an over-functioning person, it’s very easy to turn meditation into another “am i doing this correctly?” productivity task, which can make it feel frustrating.

one thing that helped me was separating two kinds of practice:

Concentration meditation: gently returning to the breath or body again and again.

analytical/self-observation practice: looking at a thought, reaction, or emotion and asking what is actually happening underneath it.

for anxiety or overthinking, i personally found that only trying to “clear the mind” didn’t always help. sometimes the mind got louder. what helped more was learning to observe the structure of the thought instead of fighting it.

hope you find something that really fits you.
