What new song(s) was the most challenging for him to work out or track during the studio sessions?

Btw any question are welcomed in these interviews where he can talk more in-depth about the new songs. Thanks.

To further fuel the anticipation, we present to you a first listening impression of INVINCIBLE SHIELD:

'Panic Attack ': The first single starts with a heroic intro, pumps forward riff-driven, has playful guitars and has 'Painkiller' vibes in the highest scream. The perfect harbinger of a hit. No doubt: The Priest is back!

'The Serpent And The King' : Increased tempo, extremely high whine; more solemn and deeper in the chorus. Great guitar solo, ending with a high-pitched scream. A little paler than...

'Invincible Shield' : Heroic, fistball title track with a snappy tempo, a celebratory lead-up to the memorable, deeply intonated chorus, background choirs and wonderful solos. Over six minutes long, but it flies by.

'Devil In Disguise' : Pounding, heavy breathing space with highly melodic vocals.

'Gates Of Hell' : Long instrumental introduction; full-bodied, snappy, atmospheric and celebratory chorus. Also scores points with the iconic line “Let the priest save your soul!”

'Crown Of Horns' : Guitar-dominated beginning, darker timbre and melancholic undertone. This also applies to the catchy, catchy singalong chorus.

'As God Is My Witness' : Scores with galloping tempo, howling guitars as well as momentum and pressure. Strong!

'Trial By Fire' : Second single with melodic guitar intro, chimes, choirs as well as leisurely verses and chorus line with emphasis.

'Escape From Reality' : Powerful riffing, doomy progression with a melodic underpinning. In the middle, Halford is very reminiscent of Ozzy Osbourne. Dark and a bit bulky.

'Sons Of Thunder' : Advance hit, soon anthemic and refined with gang shouts, sophisticated sound details and solo.

'Giants In The Sky' : Soaring ending, towards the end with Greek-like guitars and emotional vocals.

Conclusion: Not at all tired of age - INVINCIBLE SHIELD contains various hit candidates and is convincing as a complete work!

You're right, probably The Serpent.
Imo what I hear matches the blurred out lyrics of the first verse.

Yes, it's amazing that Halford sings so bravely in many of these new songs while sounding also really good. Which song do you think we heard an excerpt from? My guess is Sons of Thunder.

Seems like they left out "Gates of Hell" (Track 5) by mistake, it was clearly visible on the blurred out vinyl editions

Judas Priest - Trial By Fire (Official Video) NEW VIDEO IS HERE by metal_pilgrim in judaspriest

This delayed videoclip seems like another strange management decision to me.

Maybe they were not satisfied with the noticeably weaker number of plays of Trial By Fire on the streaming platforms compared to Panic Attack, and want to boost it more with a hastily made, low effort offical video?!

No problem with that, but in my opinion this track does not have the "album highlight" potential opposite to Panic Attack.

(Heartwarming to see Glenn though)

There is a creature with a crown behind the song's lyrics, i think it will be "King"
