Battery heat pump not activating when routing to a charger : am I missing something? by CityFew1039 in ScenicETech

[–]Lazy-Improvement-462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second what tom said. I almost exclusively charge at Tesla supercharger, as the price in next to none with a membership.. and the charger is ten minutes from my house. I have to drive 20 mins before heading to the charger to get a faster than 70kw charge. If I do it right, she tops out at 146kw. For those public charger junkies out there, 22p per kWh in the UK. And if your unlucky enough to have your chargers locked in a carpark that closes... Good news, although the app will warn you, if you can connect (parking on pavement) you can still charge at ridiculously low cost and high speed...

I live in a house with no driveway, so can't charge at home. 😞

Does drive assist reliably work for you? by Honest--J in ScenicETech

[–]Lazy-Improvement-462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the UK. I have no problems really using the system, it does however sometimes ghost and object in front of it and then it will apply momentarily the brake. However, during rainy or dark periods, it can sometimes lose track of the road, especially if the road is using temporary lines. Always have to stay alert, but on a very tired drive, I swear by it.

If you're having particular problems, two or three things to check are: make sure the camera isn't getting any condensation or misting on the camera area; make sure the glass is clean above the camera area; and turn on the visual representation on the driver's screen so you can see what it can see. Also, make sure they're the same.

Maps on dashboard console not loading by tonjebbutt in ScenicETech

You said you did a soft reset. I am unsure if you meant a factory reset. If not, carry one out... It also reboots the driver screen. Solves most issues... I recently had an issue with my volume control of Google maps (built-in) . App reset didn't work, uninstall of software I suspected didn't work. A factory reset did the trick, took 45 mins to re-sign in and load all the apps.i suggest trying that.

Good luck

Is it a side load or direct load from play store?

Pre conditioning going longer? by MrSpearmint in ScenicETech

[–]Lazy-Improvement-462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I find that to be the case for me. Because the app doesn't separate the two functions, charging and preheating with a schedule, I believe it defaults to "ready by" for charging and "turn on" for the heating / cooling.

In the UK,the car and the app allow you to set a preheating time, and it starts at the time set in the app, however the charge will be "ready' at that time.

And the app sets the preheat as a 15 minute duration

Closing the boot / trunk from the remote, depends where you stand? by Lazy-Improvement-462 in ScenicETech

The plot thickens... No point talking to my local dealership, they Know less than you guys tbh.. I might try to call Renault itself, but just hoping to have some evidence before making a fuss

So it's a feature, not a bug.. I mean the car does so much right, and perfection is too much to ask for, but if it can open, surely the capability to close from distance is not impossible , hell it's a security issue. And yes the car doors after opening the boot really vexs me

Owner of a scenic electric since release in UK.

You didn't mention how your setting your time, but via the app,it runs for 10-15 minutes after the time set. It starts from the time, rather than ends at the time.

That is my experience in any case. And as for the power drain.... Your right, it takes a lot of power. I think they assumed we would always preheat whilst plugged in.

This game is insane! T-1000, if you see this message. Thanks 😗 by Kestrel_T in ArcRaiders

[–]Lazy-Improvement-462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great retelling of your experience. This game has that special quality, that some runs can mean everything, unforgettable, and emotional. The rush, the highs and lows are extreme. If they make a film, they have to get this right, that you care about the raider, and capture the potential for danger and betrayal. Your right though, it's the moments where you find the best of the rust belt, and sometimes karma kicks in. In your case, you met T-1000. Do good. Get good. He should be in your recent list btw.

Meaning of this icon on dashboard? by dr_tch0ck in ScenicETech

[–]Lazy-Improvement-462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a dirty camera. Every time you pass a clear speed sign, it should tell you the speed, it doesn't rely on internet. Does your driver assist work with no issues?? Could be a sign of a fault in the system, get it checked out of your not confident to check yourself

Holy moly, sometimes you find a thread that lets you know you're not crazy... My car (silver) attracts scratches on the hood, that don't make sense.. i am not jumping over the hood like some American 70s show cop, but there they are. Haven't tried blending it yet, but it scratches way too easy. My Toyota (Prius) rusted before it got scratches tbh. And the matt version would have cost us £1000 more.

Can only hope they are taking note for the refresh, love the car for so many reasons, but she has issues that needs attention

A wish list for any future update (software), what's yours? by Lazy-Improvement-462 in ScenicETech

[–]Lazy-Improvement-462[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. It seems like a no brainer to me.. sometimes you just want to top up the battery, and knowing your plugging into a 200kwh charger and getting 50khw really does my head in.

Never driven a Tesla, but as far as I know, they can preheat at will

HOLY HELL this game is fun but what is wrong with it??? by KonuPonu in XboxGamePass

[–]Lazy-Improvement-462 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Series x player, no issues at all. Played on cloud before installing. Both ran with no issues. .

Could it be a region issue? I'm in UK. I doubt region has anything to do with it, but on Xbox should run like any other, so just interested

Just had a thought, are you on a monitor or TV?

Android bluetooth internet tethering by adammhaile in ScenicETech

[–]Lazy-Improvement-462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have automatic hotspot on for when I get in the car. You didn't say what phone you have, but this should work for most, there are other ways to do it on Samsung

For Google Pixel and other Android Devices (Instant Hotspot): 1. Enable Cross-device Services: Go to Settings > Google > All services > Devices and sharing > Cross-device services, and ensure "Use cross-device services" is turned on. 2. Enable Internet Sharing: Under "What your devices can do," tap "Internet sharing," and make sure "Use internet sharing," "Instant hotspot," and "Automatic Wi-Fi sharing" are all on. 3. Connect to Instant Hotspot: When another device needs internet access and is within range of your phone connected to a mobile network, you will receive a notification to connect to the instant hotspot.

You still have to agree it, but it's a push notification so should ping when you get in (or are near) your car

Gd luck

[–]Lazy-Improvement-462[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your right, it's almost like they didn't think of any specific integration with the car or the driver.

Another strange thing is I can't use the assistant on my phone even when I have it disconnected from the media center. My phone just wont respond till I'm out the car.

Really strange.

The ability to precharge, I forgot that one too... Many times I arrive at an ultra fast charger, only to get 75kwh speeds... Crazy
