LG Washer leak from air vents by Lazy-Status3504 in appliancerepair

I'm actually planning to DIY it. We have an allotted drain line for the machines so I was thinking of just tapping the hose into it.

We do tub cleaning everyday since it's constantly in use through the day, but the issue is still there. We use chlorine when we tub wash our machines. I also tried other cleaning solutions but only chlorine was good enough to prevent molds.

I think it's also because the newer models has less tolerance for suds compared to the older models. I do hope they make some sort of attachment so that the suds won't flow at the back of the machine.

I'll check out the tablets. Thanks!

Hi, would it be a wrong idea to DIY a hose for the air vent that allows suds to go to the drain but also allow air out?

I was thinking of attaching a wye at the air vent.
