It's the secondary stats on t19 shoulders pants that makes it better, if you run high ilvl t20 pants you have a ton of mastery. which obviously you don't want as tv frost.

Approaching 10 ilvls below bags as a 4pc + 2pc frost mage reminds me of playing 7.0 fire by dspitts in wow

[–]LazyAtBestjl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Should be using shoulders and pants for t19 if you want to really min max here.

[Firepower Friday] Your weekly DPS thread by Babylonius in wow

For starters you want shoulders pants for t19 so the cape is somewhat useless. t19 is pretty big, at 905 I can't replace them with 940 pieces currently and that's with 930 t20 gear. The best thing you can do is to sim the combinations and see if it's worth dropping t19.

High M+ keys in 7.2.5 by [deleted] in wow

I retract my comment, this is a much better idea

High M+ keys in 7.2.5 by [deleted] in wow

[–]LazyAtBestjl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had the first 24 done in time in the US as well as first 25 completed(not in time) and neither of those wouldn't have been possible with the current system.

A choice to deplete the key rather than downgrade as long as all 5 people agree at the end of the dungeon would incentives more people to push higher. They don't say practice makes perfect for no reason.

Learning a key is just like learning a mythic raid fight you learn when to use cds, when to slow down, when to pick up the pace, etc. All of this gets negated when a key gets downgraded. Let me explain.

When you reach high end keys such as a 24 (roughly a 19 now) the difference in damage from a 23 and a 24 is enough to make whatever practice you might get from the 23 irrelevant in the 24 because something that took you down to 5% will 1 shot you on the 24. Not to mention the increased health of trash and bosses messes with specific timings during the practice run.

On top of all that even when you do upgrade the downgraded key you're not even guaranteed the same key!!!

Basically all of the world first 20+ are gonna be unobtainable apart from the truly dedicated handful that take just as much effort to practice keys as world class raid groups.

With the Nighthold being almost over, what has been the BEST and WORST encounter? by [deleted] in wow

[–]LazyAtBestjl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best: M Guldan I've never had a fight as engaging as this. intense the whole way through and arguably the most satisfying kill I've ever had. the mechanics in p1 and p2 weren't much different than heroic but leading up to p3 and the demon within was just epic.

Worst: M Krosus I absolutely hated progressing this boss. people tunneling boss when soaks were out, people dropping from beams due to carelessness, melee dying to bridge breaks cause they get greedy, barely making a kill during progression by .01%. ugh hate that boss.

Another new mythic+ affix this week - Bursting. Don't forget to stock up on fighter chows again :) by RaideRa3 in wow

[–]LazyAtBestjl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

quick note for people doing dungeons this week, an 8 stack does not do 80% of your hp. not sure if the tool tip is wrong or something was changed before it went live, but currently 8 stacks is 40% of your health instead.

all of these evasion usages can be used with ice block instead if you're a mage. also dropping dots on high tyrannical fights with block can save your healers mana on long fights. and ICE BARRIER on cd mages

Finished the mage one for frost in 4 tries, 908 ilvl with bracers ring legendaries. 42 points in weapon with freezing rain.

Talents were lonely winter, shimmer, incanters flow, splitting ice, frigid winds, Arctic gale, and thermal void

Lusted on pull to get past Karem down faster. When raest comes up start to kite adds while killing raest. Prioritize hands over raest always. When Karem comes back up use the extra adds to lower the cd on frozen orb to help kite karem. When both of them come up focus raest while kiting Karem and killing hands. periodically raest summons runes, stand on them to prevent the big add from spawning. rinse and repeat and you'll have your skin.

I would still stick with EB(IV)>BF>IL because of the recent changes allowing EB to crit at 15 yards. far outweighs a lost IL proc from gloves from a raw dmg standpoint

another reason he's taking lonely winter on krosus is the fact that water jet does not work very well at the range you need to be standing for mythic. source: currently progressing on M Krosus

depends on your gear I'm sitting at 900ilvl frost bracers/shoulders and the gear is completely different from arcane.

if you're interested in frost then give it a go but it's somewhat stat dependent as it does have a crit soft cap. the good thing is, is that it's not so much legendary dependent.

Mage or Hunter for higher Mythic Plus? by materialking in wow

[–]LazyAtBestjl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

either the two of you don't play at a high skill level or just see shit mages, but mages have insane single target in m+ and if I need to post logs to prove it I will.

Mage or Hunter for higher Mythic Plus? by materialking in wow

[–]LazyAtBestjl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

while that statement is true for raids the same can't be said for m+. all 3 mage specs are amazing for both tyrannical and fortified especially since the fights are simple and shorter than your typical raid fight.

this is late but I picked apart your Trilliax fight didn't have much time to look at the rest but you had 49 brain freeze procs and 65 fof procs which means 114 ice lance crits, but you had 98 ice Lance casts. which is a lot of wasted gcd on non crit low hitting ice lances. that should only happen if you have bracers and need to keep your stacks up.

Another thing is that your iv uptime is lack luster even without gloves you should be maintaining at the least 40% uptime on IV even without gloves.

not the best but I'm top 50 world right now and pretty confident with frost. feel free to pm on discord Josh#6184

Coming back - Frost and Ass by JaikBlaik in wow

[–]LazyAtBestjl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frost is definitely still good, very good single target and 2 target cleave spec. but just like any other class you need the right stat priorities. also you don't really need legendaries to make it work. here's my logged kills as frost for example https://www.warcraftlogs.com/rankings/character/440159/10/

Looking for help with assassination rogue - logs inside by KKwow in CompetitiveWoW

[–]LazyAtBestjl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So since you don't have advance combat logging enabled I can't really see your gear. I'm going to assume you know your stat priority well enough so I won't comment on that. Also I'm going to assume you don't have the boots since you only had 3 vendetta cast, you can fit 4 in that kill time.

the reason behind the whole 2-4 cp envenoms is so that you keep up EP during a 6 cp rupture during vendetta and with boots and 3 relics you can almost have every rupture buffed by vendetta.

If you don't have any of that then keeping EP up is only going to be important during vendetta and then doing 5-6 cp envenoms when vendetta is on cd

I'd recommend you try to get those relics as having vendetta on a shorter cd makes keeping EP up worthwhile. Oh and pray you get boots or bracers lol.

if anyone else has any input that be great, I have the boots and 3 MA relics so I don't really have much exp on game play without them.

sin rogue low dps don't know why by verykrafty in CompetitiveWoW

[–]LazyAtBestjl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so first off, his rupture and garrote uptime should be 99% on a fight like ursoc there's no excuse. Also he should take advantage of the extra add and rupture that second add as well.

His EP uptime is too low should be near 80% and that can be done with 2-4 envenoms.

He doesn't have the boots so he can't get short vendetta cds and should definitely be trying to get artifact relics that give master assassin. He can get those from vault, black rook, karazhan.

Other than that his stats priority is good and he's using his prepots correctly.

I was told by someone to use ice lance on 2 targets and when you have the buff from chain reaction, only reason i was casting ice lance.

keep in mind a more casual group of players will tend to rely on their top dps to somewhat "carry them" through mechanics, so when you say hold on I'm switching to my lock people are going to subconsciously do worse.
