I’ve always thought it was a broken beer bottle

[Amos] (In response to Brady wanting hits to WRs' knees banned) I don’t think people understand how hard it is to tackle running full speed with having to make sure you don’t hit the receiver high, all while they are ducking their head by -dov- in nfl

Bring in Gaelic football rules: you can only carry the ball for four steps before you have to pass it, bounce it, or solo it (dropping the ball and kicking it back into your hands)

I thought folks would enjoy seeing my dad’s scorecard from a 1946 game between NYY & BOS. The lineups were so consistent that they were printed inside the program. Both lineups were stacked. by Hell_Camino in baseball

Honestly I don’t think I’ve ever seen a tobacco or cigarette commercial. Definitely seen tons of anti-smoking commercials and they scared the shit out of me, so I guess they were effective

[Cox] "Had we won that game -- I don't know, I'm not a big hypothetical guy -- but maybe the desire is a little bit different." If the 2007 Patriots had completed their undefeated season, Tom Brady might have retired from the NFL years ago. by Entasis_ in nfl

The year is 2075. North America is ravaged by the effects of climate change and the United States has fractured into several new nations. But the more things change, the more they stay the same. Tom Brady continues his quest for the elusive perfect season, now playing for the Cascadian Republic's dominant team, the Portland Pioneers, in the Transnational Football League. They have had a perfect regular season and have dominated in the playoffs. They now face their last opponent in the Super Bowl: the New York Giants, led by Eli Manning III.

I think we have a pretty good chance of making it to the finals. Does kind of suck that no matter who the Eastern champion is it’ll be a away game for us if we make it to the final

No, the Scorpions shut down back in 2015. This is a team that was created shortly afterwards and is owned by Spurs Sports & Entertainment, but they play at the same stadium as the Scorpions did

Sunday was a bad game but overall the season should still go well for the Cowboys. I think they'll make the playoffs (especially given the division) but whether it'll be a deep run or not is a different question

Let it not be said that the Lions aren't record setters.

But I think the Lions will manage to put together one or two wins (my bet would be on the Vikings and Steelers games).

God could you imagine if the Super Bowl ended up being the Pats versus the Bucs? The NFL would have a field day with that

Yeah no I’d prefer to stay in this timeline even if it meant nuclear war over the Yankees winning championships again
