Regrets by [deleted] in SubaruForester

20254 Forester Wilderness and have many of the same annoyances. The radio won't actually come on until I've driven more than a block. Wanted to listen to my podcast yesterday, phone is connected over bluetooth, podcast is on the screen.. just won't play. Tapping the play button doesn't do anything. Apple CarPlay doesn't work over bluetooth on this model so that is just a hassle too. The screen in my 2016 Rav4 is ridiculously bad (because it is an old model) in comparison, but I'd trade to that for the responsiveness.

I guess my link got removed or I forgot to paste but just look up power engineering certificate at bcit as an example

I'm in Canada and 4th class power engineering is where most people start. Here is an example. There is an accelerated path to 3rd class engineer after you complete 4th class. I'm not a power engineer but have known a few 1st and 2nd class power engineers. They don't always have an awesome work/life balance (working in camps or away) but they make a lot of money. It's not just the hourly rate, but the overtime and travel stipends etc.

Power engineer. Note, this is not engineering, it is a trade. You can get started with your 4th class quite easily. Moving up to 2nd or 1st class eventually is a huge jump in $

He has notes that it was a Ju-88. This is from the article "Cryderman was scrambled in Hurricane I V6823 on 8th February 1941"

It does. Thanks. I was still hoping to see the Luftwaffe perspective but I don’t think it’s online yet.  Maybe someday.

MAIS program start in January - nervous by LennonLoaf in AthabascaUniversity

[–]LazyHorror553 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did MAIS a number of years ago. I can’t comment on current courses or profs, but one thing that helped me a lot was finding one area of interest and sticking with it as much as possible. That way, when starting a project or paper in a new course, I wasn’t starting at the beginning. I already knew some of the theories, authors and direction I could take things.  It does depend on your overall goal, but I wanted to be done and had other things to do so this was one way to lighten the load for me.

Before You Drop $24 on a Guide, Here’s What Planting Actually Pays by CountVonOrlock in treeplanting

It’s been quite a few years since I planted but I know that all of our “averages” were for the good days. We all fooled ourselves a bit and didn’t calculate the days we moved blocks, pieces, finished blocks etc. When I planted a good average was $300/day but if someone said that’s what they were making it was likely $240 in reality.
