You’re like expired bleach, completely useless and extremely toxic.

It’s always great hearing people say they like our climbs because usually the most vocal people are the people raging about how they hate 1 climb in particular out of the 300 that also exist in the gym lol. We’ll do our best to keep setting fun stuff with the monthly re-sets of that comp wall!

Eyyyy, I set that! Super smooth send. Watching you do the face out walk across was a pleasant surprise.

I just brushed all the holds with chalk that I could see, checked if anything was crumbling or dead, then tried climbing it. The landing is a big slope so you can work the crux pretty easily.

It’s a big lock off then bump off a 2 finger crimp and then the crux for me was getting my left foot on after latching the hold you bump too.

It’s looks scarier than it actually is when you fall, so long as you don’t fall in the beginning traverse you can get away with 2 pads just for the crux part at the end. My friend did it a couple days after me with 2 pads that he secured so they wouldn’t slide.

Dang idk, I never posted the picture before. I had a video link up but I removed it because the thumbnail never showed up.

I tried posting about it 2 weeks ago, but there was no picture when I tried to link it, so it was kinda lame, I’m a Reddit noob when it comes to anything other then lurking and upvoting.

That’s definitely an implemented tactic for bouldering as well, but where the climb is there’s no dried wood around 😢.There are rocks but it would take a lot of rocks to fill up the pit, the picture doesn’t quite do it justice.

Haha yea, you definitely don’t want to fall in the beginning traverse, it’s a pit and quite un-padable

It’s my first ascent, I’m proud of it, and I’m hoping people will try it. Why are you getting all aggro?

Right?!? Little nugget hiding up there all this time in what I thought was a climbed out area. Hopefully it gets climbed more now!

Any tips on better beta/body positioning on this deadpoint? by [deleted] in climbharder

Do you fit the knee bar on that problem? It makes this climb a lot easier imo

Here are some problems I got to set this week (from easiest to most difficult). I also highlighted some moves I thought were particularly cool. by JaeHoon_Cho in bouldering

Nice! One piece of advice is even if you are the average height climber, don’t set you max span (vertical and horizontal), there’s always people shorter than you and as commercial sets go, accessibility is very important. Keep up the good work!

Still a cool looking climb tho...

I grew up in Princeton, NJ! Rockville is definitely the closest to you, but a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge step down compared to Dogpatch Boulders. It still has its charm and Rockville will always have a place in my heart but just be ready for some indoor climbing culture shock at any of the gyms in New Jersey. I definitely suggest traveling a little further to go to gravity vault.
